What?! No one thinks that Touma's narrating is actually annoying?

This was a weird anime for me. Don't get me wrong, I liked it... But just when I thought a particular storyline was getting interesting BAM it's over, intro new characters and storyline.

i think this series can make to 3 seasons...after Misaka's story
and i hope storyline should make more exciting in action scene...

I'm watching ep 6 at the moment, and Touma's many, many, many lines saying the same thing over and over again with different words is PISSING ME OFF. Seriously, let someone else speak already you twat.
EDIT: Alright that was possibly the cheesiest episode of any anime I've ever watched. Yet I don't feel disappointed. It's strange.

^ Apparently lots of people have that problem with this show, it never really goes anywhere, and instead substitutes an overarching plot with a few longer arcs.

About the next season, A Certain Scientific Railgun (focusing on Mikoto "Biribiri" Misaka):
90% of the gaiden manga it's based on takes place before Index, and 10% during, according to people who have read it, so don't expect any continuation of Index until much later.

No. Read the light novels. Or did you mean the manga for To Aru Kagaku no Choudenjibou/Railgun?

The Index anime is based on a series of light novels, while the upcoming Railgun anime will be based on a spinoff manga of the light novels.

And the Toaru Majutsu no Index manga was based of the light novels anyway.

The manga proper is for people who don't have enough kanji to handle the books, or who can't stand walls of text.  The railgun manga is for those who need more Mikoto, and want pictures.  If you like women, you fall in the second category, no matter what your reading skills are like.

I don't think the light novels are translated though.... So unless you can read Japanese, you'll have to read the manga.

i feel you. it is irritating. they speak too much, the action is "okay" .. its not that "good" or "great". the animation is superb, but for the love of god ... LESS talk, MORE walk. i dropped naruto cu'z of shit like that, and well Naruto is even worse. (left it at episode 102)

edit -- the girl with the glasses in the last couple of episodes, if i was tomua .. i'd let her die, just because she's wearing glasses ... disgusting. >:|

*yawn* It was so not worth marathoning this series. Not that it was bad, but because the consistency of the plot was horrible. Seriously, it's like they wanted 8 different characters to be the main character, and each got their little arc in the series. And with so many characters, there was very little character development given to any of them in particular. I wanted to know more about Kanzaki and Himegami! The lack of a cohesive story hurt it. And I'm not fond of series ending without an ending! >:(

On the positive side of things though, it was still enjoyable. All the talking didn't bother me much... think I've become immune to it. The animation was fluid, the fighting/magic was decent enough and the characters were all likable. Even most the mini-arcs were well done.

With the spin off in the works, and probably more coming after that... makes it hard to rate since it's incomplete. Pretty fun overall, so ~8/10... give or take a bit.

Good anime. Drama was utter stupid, repetitive, and made me feel sick and it wasted my time. Too many females for god sakes, tho' you could never complain. WTB nudes and uncensored (if there is any). We'll see how the 2nd season will turn out.

I have to agree with you on the drama part. It was horribly repetitive. Touma did the same damn thing every couple of episodes, just with a different girl. As for too many females... tough call :P If removing a few would've let them develop all the characters better, then I'm all for it. But there was so little development for ANY of the characters, I don't think it would've made a bit of difference.

I hope season 2 does a better job than season 1.
