Yeah I am. Except I have 2 more encoding projects that are ahead of it. So don't expect it done till later next week (Tuesday I hope).
The 480p version will use the V2 script which, in my opinion, is superior to THORA's and far superior than DGz.

ok, so i just found out about the Evangelion 2.0 cam rip thats been available via torrent, AWFUL!
when it was done, first thing i did was scan it with MediaInfo: 916Kbps @ 29.970FPS H.264
i thought WOW how bad could this possibly be? 0.209 Bits/Pixel*Frame is tremendous/ridiculous for h.264! here's an example 0.074 Bits/Pixel*Frame that i worked up.
but no! it was shot with a 15FPS camera!!! why is the video 30FPS??? thats like buying a vase for 99$, smashing it on the ground, and then selling the vase for 198$ :( and the audio... where do i start
got so angry i shift+delete'd it right away. . . . . but wait, maybe i should upload some clips of it to share with my YT friends *downloads the whole piece of turd all over* (its not the first time ive re-DL'd something)
even for cam-rip standards, that video is the cam-rip of cam-rips. i don't blame the uploader too much for not subbing(idc for subs anyway) cropping, de-graining, color-correcting-- the list goes on and on. but why 916kbps for that?!
i should transcode it to 15fps at 125kbps with 29kbps audio by downsampling elements of it(like explosions) but keeping the dialog sharp at 32Khz with Avisynth filters and then register it on Mininova! oh wait, i have morals :)

Wow. Were you there when we did the subs for the Eva1.0 camrip??
Nope. Perhaps you should wait until the Blu-Ray is released. For now, you should check out the translation efforts we are making on EvaGeeks.org.
In regards to the video and audio of the camrip, it is actually an amalgamation of multiple camera recordings. All audio is based on the onboard microphone. I will admit, the quality does make it difficult to discern some lines, but fortunately, many Japanese have gathered to make an accurate transcription of the film which is what we are using for a basis if we cannot clearly hear the spoken lines.
My speculation to the overall video quality is the original encoder intended to keep this on his iPod. For now, it is the best complete version of the film.
I would suggest moving this to a new topic because this thread is for Evangelion 1.11. Please keep all spoilers to minimum.
