I've been watching season one for a while...
It's rather confusing, frankly. I have only a rough idea of what has been going on the whole time. I'm not inside the guys head at all on this one...

I like the 80s setting, and it is nice to watch a serious sort of story every so often. I also like the fact that it has a college setting instead of being yet another high school romance drama. I haven't finished the first season yet, so I don't know what to expect from a second series.

By the way, I don't have either of the coalgirls versions, I have the Eclipse version, but I transcoded it and hardsubbed it to play on my ipod, so I can't comment on problems with video playback.

I so love this series. The ending is a big major cliffhanger so ... take the safe route and wait for the second season, or watch it and get miserable!

QFT! Atm it's not exactly like Screwed Days (nice pun^^) but we should wait for the 2nd season though I hop it won't end like it^^

I watched the coalgirls version of 1080p without any problems except having small sub settings. Which I quickly upped.

The first two episodes had me considering dropping the series, they didn't strike me as anything special at all. Then they started to pick up and at the end of episode 13 I started downloading the game.

What really sets this series apart is that it is a harem with characters I can like and believe. It isn't like most other harem where you have the girls throwing themselves at the lead. More like they want to get together, but still respect each other and behave mostly rationally.

The downside is that it moves forward quickly, skipping out on some character motivations. Forcing the watcher to guess at why a character just did that. Which is another reason to like it for me, not guessing at the plot or environment, but the characters themselves feel much more real than normal anime. How often in real life do you know exactly why somebody does something? You have hints of course, but no exact moment that shows why this happened.

Sadly the combination of AGTH and Atlas for the game is a bit frustrating. The game is also in 16-bit so any newer version of windows than xp won't work. Leading to a virtual version of XP to play it.

Have you watched the first ten minutes, from start to finish, of episode 1 in the 1080p version? Was there ANYTHING wrong with it wtth sound/video? Like it skips or something? I'm thinking its the files fault to be honest. I played other 1080p videos with zero problems. I have a freaking quad 2 core 2.4GH, 8GB, 2x8800 GT SC SLI enabled. Whenever I play a 1080p my processors, all of them, don't exceed half the power they put out (each). And in the first episode it's always the same parts I'm playing. Did you download the one from BakaBT, is there a second version for episode 1? I haven't checked the other episodes yet.

I am now 1:47 in, no problems thus far except a few skips on the calendar, but that wasn't due to computer load, more like the panning in general lacks enough frames.

2:40 still no problems.

3:40 in intro, still no problems. Didn't bother with it any more, specific times?

I did have severe skips and de-sync problems when I had my virtual box enabled since that took 50% of my CPU power, but once I turned it off and restarted I had no problems.

I am using Combined-Community-Codec-Pack-BETA-2009-06-18_with_mpciconlib.exe for decoding, using MPC HC from that pack.
