Ohhh man I forgot one important detail: This anime spawned out of a Visual Novel.
Also about the Mana thing, I think her mom finds it annoying that both her daughter and her number 1 singer Rina are paying out of their own pockets to spend time with Touya.... wow Touya is so freaking screwed by ep 26 that nothing will shock me.

(click to show/hide)Well, it's something she kept denying: she prefers Touya to a loser that fantasizes on dating an idol (ie Yuki) than Touya truly dating an idol. That is, she prefers Touya to not date a girl far prettier than her, so that she stands a chance.
Her mom confirming that, combined with all the preexisting negative feelings toward her mom gave "FUCK YOU OLD BITCH!"
