Well. They just announced the "re-broadcast" of Haruhi will be 28 episodes long. How much more obvious can you get.

8 or 10 of them. they better get this on 720p, eclipse should pick this up. ;[

We'll  just get 14 episodes in chronological order; and then 14 episodes in broadcast order. Total: 28  ;D
But seriously, the first episode already aired, it’s the chronological order episode 1 and not Asahina Mikuru no bouken. Hare hare dance ED was not removed, and no next episode preview. Source: http://zepy.momotato.com/2009/04/02/haruhi-is-airing-tonight/
