Well if I were a mod I would just lock it for "disinformation". However the only thing I can do is discredit the source.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I don't think this has anything to do with the original video. Didn't see anywhere about searching Laptops or PC's... If it does have something to do with this, it's SUPER sensationalistic.

This copyright/national security thing has been in place for a long time. I remember buying Norton anytivirus in like 95 and seeing a big green sticker that said ILLEGAL TO EXPORT. Same with a lot of encryption software you can buy. It was classified then, and the revision is classified now. Funny how they speculate on it yet know nothing of it's contents and only assume it's somehow going to invade their privacy.

Considering the lobbyist groups that are pressuring the government for change on their behalf, rather than on the behalf of the people, it's extremely likely that it is going to invade our privacy and rape users of p2p in the ass. Please, explain to me what, in relation to copyright material, could be considered "classified in the interest of national security pursuant to Executive Order 12958."

A June 2008 memo (PDF) from the International Chamber of Commerce, signed by pro-copyright groups, says: "intellectual property theft is no less a crime than physical property theft. An effective ACTA should therefore establish clear and transparent standards for the calculation and imposition of effective criminal penalties for IP theft that...apply to both online and off-line IP transactions." Similarly, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has called for "criminal penalties for IP crimes, including online infringements."

The biggest thing, and almost the entire reason (I believe) was cryptography software, originally. And that does have NSA written all over it. Now? Not so much.

Why I don't believe this is a big deal (for US citizens) is because the bill revision is international. The RIAA and MPAA want more legal authority to go after people abroad breaking the law. I think that's the whole point. We already have laws in place here. This treaty extends the reach of the RIAA and MPAA and seems to generally have nothing to do with the searching of our media devices here at home. (according to that CNN link at least) That's what I took from the link anyways...

Who knows though. I don't, it's classified heh.

they can currently take your laptop and hold it indefinately, without any proof of there being files that are a security threat

the RIAA want more legal authority to go after people EVERYWHERE. They're losing more and more to people in civil cases now that people are less afraid of them and know how to fight them. They don't represent the artists, they represent the fat cats that make money off of the artists, and that becomes more and more evident as time goes on, since now bands like Radiohead are testifying against them.

The ONLY major organization fighting for the people on this topic is the EFF. So when DC gets secretive, you can't honestly tell me it's for the benefit of the average american citizen and expect me to believe it.

Yes, they also show off the stupidity of "stereotype Americans" by thinking that their laws apply in all other countries.  ::)

<sarcasm>RIAA: Try applying your laws in Russia. See if that's going to work. Hey why don't you try messing with China too? You know you want to...</sarcasm>

If they even step in an inch in my property searching for digital data, then I'm gonna shoot them and drive them out of my place. Drive them back to where they came from.

Hell they will have to summon the freaking air force and the army to get my ass, and ive been known to hit a 3/4 inch target at 50 yards without my glasses (which says something since im blind as a freaking bat without them); Just ask the dead hard drives i shot last weekend. So ummm, yeah

I never heard that, I always heard FDR, which is pretty accurate. FDR created a number of programs that made the public happy and think that he was doing stuff to help, but in all actuality, dragged the depression out for many more years than it should have.

JFK was brought up only in relation to how he was able to take a room. His stardom as President is something we haven't seen since JFK, except maybe a little bit of Reagan.

Yeah, I can see that, but the difference was that reagan and JFK were awesome presidents.

I've heard the comparison to JFK before because of the inexperience and him being young and all that junk.

God, I have something mean and troll worthy to say about the JFK comparison but I'm going to keep it to myself despite the potential hilarity of it.
