Has the manga ended?

We won't know that until we watch episode 7-13. Also in the old anime episode 1-25 where 90% correct with the old manga.

I actually liked it! It's a nice remake, but then I'm allready a big fan of FMA series!  ;D

Episode 8....*YAWN*.... Felt like I was just re-watching the episode from the original series. I was really rooting for this series, and I still am a little, but it just keeps going further downhill.

Well, it's not going to be a different series until it gets past the parts that were done when the first anime was made, so I think it's unfair to expect that of it. Apart from the first episode, there's really nothing new about the story so far. But think about it, would you rather watch this or the old series?

I think it's really good so far - a definite improvement. Apart from the music not impressing me, I think it's well drawn and animated. It's nice to see this masterpiece redone in the HD era. The story has a great pace compared to the old series, and I'm pretty curious of how it will evolve later on since I don't read the manga.

To be perfectly honest, the old series had way more emotional punch than this one. Brotherhood hasn't given me any reason to care about the characters other than the fact that I'm already familiar with them and their stories. Nina's episode in particular was just WEAK. I was really disappointed. And  who would have ever thought I'd be indifferent to an episode with Winry in it!

Episode 9 seems to have restored some of the emotion I think has been lacking so far. But I can already tell that there won't be any tears watching episode 10 of Brotherhood like there were watching episode 25 of the original series.
