Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood
sneg:
Great so far. Fortunately, I watched the first series so long ago I didn't catch many probs with the beginning. :) If FMA:B will keep this sort of quality level until the end... One of the best series of 2009, tbh.
Psyker:
From what iv seen, (21 eps) its kicks ass, you can nit pick all the little problems all you want, but if you watch it as its own series, it really holds its own. only thing i want to know is if its going to be 52 eps like the old series (im guessing not)

It's been advertised as a year long broadcast since it was initially announced. Considering they won't come even close to the point the source has reached, look for a real FMA2 a few years from now when they have a conclusion to work with. It'll probably be 75 - 100 episodes once everything is said and done.
Takeshi:
22 was very powerful. I loved how we're able to understand a bit more about Scar instead of him just being an evil man. FSS, this is my favourite show this year, it delivers a great story, always good animation and sweet action.
Screens from 21 as promised, you gotta love Bradley's look, so fucking evil.

So you're saying there's going to be another FMA to finish the story? The anime has covered about 47-48 chapters in 22 episodes and there's 98 chapters at the moment. Either way, I don't mind them using more episodes to tell the story. And fitting everything into a one-year-series would seem a little tight to me because the manga is still ongoing (even though the manga might be ending soon) and there's going to be more chapters than the ones already out.
I cannot get over how much the anime owns the manga. Seriously, I almost feel sad about those who have read the manga and already knows what going to happen in this awesome anime.
en dash:
I don't agree with these notions of Brotherhood being "right" or "wrong." I have absolutely no problem with a writer re-interpreting their own stories in as many ways as they want. It's not like it's real history, and even with that, as new things are discovered, our perceptions can change.
With that said, I've found this series to be totally enjoyable. It has great moral and philosophical content, action, and a plethora of emotional moments. I didn't watch the first FMA series, but I thought I would give this one a try and I am really glad I did! Once it is finished, I think I will go back and check out the original next to spot the differences and compare the two. I wonder which version I will think is best...
