(click to show/hide)I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't actually attempt human transmutation; however, I am fairly positive that he will open the gate in one way or another. I also don't think that this will be the last we see of Wrath.

In general, the plot demands Mustang to attempt human transmutation but what was Hawkeye hinting at with looking upwards? Or was that just a misinterpretation on my side and she just began to faint?

l think youre right newy, she hinted the thing she used to have on her back, which she had Mustang remove but before doing so she told him to memorize it, if thats that, Riza might be saved without Human transmutation l guess, altough it was never explained what exactly was it, l would hate to see her die.
BTW, l don't hold a grudge at him spoiling since it was in a spoiler tag l'm fine with it, like l used to say, l read spoilers cuz they spice up things, but spoilers have to be in spoiler tags at any time.

(click to show/hide)I see no reason for Mustang to attempt human transmutation, cause Riza is not dead yet, what he needs is to have that psycho doctor heal her with the stone. All Mustang has to do for that is to open the gate, now I might be mistaken, but was it ever said that the only way to do so was to attempt human transmutation?
Btw, in the preview we see the huge "eye" thingy, I believe this is what Mustang sees after opening the gate, meaning he does open the gate (wouldn't like to think Mustang is trying anything crazy while risking Rize :( )
