l don't see a point in killing Riza, she has a considerable fan club, it would be bad, and l think Mustang would lose all resolve, after all, he's fighting to protect his subordinates, if he loses Riza l think he will crack down, actually in teh anime they never really said what that tatoo is, if it was in the manga keep it to yourselves ;]

l salute Buccaneer tough, damn bastard was hard to kill, seriously, even wounded as he was, most ppl would have trouble standing up, and he menaged to attack him at full force, and made sure the gate stays closed, he was an ugly guy but tough son of a bitch, miss Armstrong actually has what it takes to rule the country, she menaged to take the guys that were trying to kill her to follow her orders, damn l love her :]

l kind of thought that Major Armstrong knew more about the gate, he spent quite some time researching Elric brothers, right now he seems silly to me, maybe he took to much beating from Sloth after all ;]

Huh, what? Which encode are you using? I used single frame-skipping from 24:09 to the end in Eclipse's version, and that shot is definitely not in it. Edit: Doh, yeah, I was watching 57, for some reason. Silly me. It seems 58 has been stored in a different folder than usual... (I just chose the 'latest' file). >.<

Hmm, it suddenly throws my whole argument around. Perhaps Mustang does it then.

"Father" said hes gonna suck his stone later, when he takes care of those.

l think what Riza said is about the gate, there is no need for Mustang to use human transmutation to open the gate.

but by the look on Mustang's face it seems hes gonna put Riza in danger after all.

Edit:
l just thought about this a little and would like to talk about it with you guys:

Selecting Mustang as a sacrifice seems like a bad idea, when he sees the truth (and remembers it) he won't need a transmutation circle to use his flame alchemy, and if l remember correctly, "Fathers" room is made of stone and full of metal pipes, chance of crating a spark ? =1000% so is it really a good idea for Mustang to meet Father ? it's a blazing death, he already defeated Envy and Lust without much problems, what chance is there tha tFatehr wil lfare better than them ? if we coun't out Al due to some reasons, Ed, Scar and Sensei can easily create explosions/fires and sparks all over the damn place, l find it rather silly hahah tha tthe ydecided that Mustang be the 5th sacrifice, if you think logically thats the worst selection tbh ;]

I didn't think of these guys, wow. And that is also a way to disable him. Well then, off to the giant transmutation circle.

Hmm, I'm not sure what to think about 59... there was too much deus ex machina for my taste (is that even the correct way to put the term in a sentence?)

Didn't they say that a soul seeks out its body (or vice versa) and that that is responsible for his blackouts. And maybe this is the reason that he had a choice.

well,
(click to show/hide)
all they can do now is to defeat Father and Pride, and that won't be easy, but should he disable their Alchemy, they can still fight melee, and May has Eastern Alchemy, so it shouldn't be impossible, the only problem is Pride, but it seems like he can't recover his wound as well anymore. At least he didn't recover that facial damage he recived just now.

So how is this one compared to the previous series? Does it have similar plot as the manga or has it taken the story in a totally different direction? ???

It's awesome, as expected, some would say even better to the first. concerning the plot, it follows the manga pretty closely, it'll also have the same ending as the manga, so if you've enjoyed the manga I would say its a safe bet you'll enjoy this as well.
Btw, I have a small dilemma, didn't watch 59 yet, I don't know if I should wait till all episodes are out so I can finish it in one go or keep watching per week (which isn't easy, the tension is killing me :D )

the manga is still ongoing, planned to finish at the same time as anime series. So if you enjoyed the Manga, that means youre from the future, and if you didn't bring with yourself a few DVDs with featuired anime shows you are not welcome XD
