Huge improvement over the previous version. This production team seems to have a much better grasp on how to present relatively chronologically disjointed source material in the most effective manner. As long as the SD shots are kept to a minimum this should be more enjoyable than its source, let alone its failed predecessor.

Episode 3 was awesome. This new version is just freaking epic. Unfortunately they threw in some humor where it didn't belong again which hopefully doesn't become a big habit. Next episode is about Nina

I have to admit I looked the first series better so far. This one is just jumping around no story behind anything that has happened.

Like episode 3 they show up fix a radio,talk to rose about what is in the human body for 3 minutes, fight the main priest, trick the main priest episode over. I really enjoyed this episode on the first series though it was a let down this time around.

You don't think they are doing that specifically so the people that have already seen the series don't get bored since they already know all the secrets and storyline? If it were the same storyline, in depth, and trying to hide secrets that I already know I would easily get bored with the series.

The original series did Lior better, but i liked the Elric kids sequence more in the new one.

Also the added story material is nice.

With that thinking though. the whole series would be boring. You know most of what happens anyways.

How about the voice over of “Full Metal Alchemist’ during the intermissions, it reminds me of Soulcalibur every time. I am enjoying the series thus far, trying not to compare it to FMA. This can be very hard when the episodes are based on the same story.

Wow, licensed by Funimation　on April first. They sure know how to nab the great anime quickly. guess it won't even get to grace BoxTorrents for a few days. Oh well. I guess the first season was so popular in America they would almost have to grab it quickly.

When they fight the priest in the original, the part where Ed reveals his metal arm gives me chills everytime I see it, while the new version feels abit rushed and not nearly as epic (granted you already know Ed's lost his arm and leg and like someone mentioned, most people have already seen this scen before, but still -.-) the part when they revive thier mom abit like that to, but I like the fact that they went into more detail about what happend.

I know exactly what u mean. I definitely struggled with this ep. I mean I'm sure they will ditch more and more of the comedy as the series carries on. I just hope they decide to step up the action sequences. Cuz so far they're a little bleh. I'm still psyched about the series though.

Yeah, me too. When you think about that they played together just 24hrs... and to think that he did the same thing to his wife! To his own family only to gain/keep his license. Only hatred left, nothing else

Nina story always gets too me. I read in the manga, saw it in the first series, re watched it two years later and now again it gets me very sad.

...I didn't know that both Iron Blood and Sewing Life were going to be killed to early.

Does anybody know how long this season is going to last?

I think it is set to stop airing April of next year. About the same time it started this year.
