The entire series has had a feeling of moral grey area, and Ed and Al were the only ones who specifically refused to use the philosophers stone to get their bodies back.

And it's right for Mustang to get his eyes back considering he didn't actually do anything to lose them, it was forced upon him.
Plus he was more than willing to continue without his eyes, but now that he has them, he can help a hell of a lot more, especially with hand clapping alchemy. Lin had to use the philosophers stone to become emperor because there was no other way to reign supreme in his country, and he used this new level of power to bring together a shattered country.

The only thing that annoyed me overall with the series was Greed at the end.
"All I wanted... WAS FRIENDS LIKE THESE!". God damnit Greed. Don't fag out on us like that.

damn it took him a lot of time to say that, and Winry's response was WTF ?? l loved how she responded.

also, l guess Pinako is also gone, or at least retired, Winry was a bit down when Ed came back so maybe Pinako died of age ?

it's possible right ?

l sure love this ending a lot better than the original series ended, a happy Winry is a happy ending :]

l'm gonan schedule re-watching the show around 17/18/19 th september, gonna divide it to 3 watches, 22 eps a day, and the last day 20 ;]

finaly but not the end, congrats Ed, for a short time you were taller than Al ;]

l wouldn't mind a short OVA series about Al's journey to Xing, it could be pretty cool too, l'm wondering how big May became after the 2 years ;]

There's a picture in the end where you can see Mai. Not sure how many years have passed there. Maybe 2-3...
