NO, but he will be more human.
I just had a thought, just because Ed made the trade, does that mean he also gave up, (click to show/hide)all abilities to use alchemy, or can he draw a circle and perform such?
--- End quote ---
Ed lost all ability to use and perform Alchemy at all, he no longer can perform any and all alchemy, ever again.
--- End quote ---
I had assumed that to be true. But then, (click to show/hide)didn't his doorway to the Truth, only give him the ability to perform alchemy without having to first draw a circle, rather than give him the ability to all alchemy? But I would assume that what he seeks is so great, that an equivalent exchange would require him to lose all abilities, and so fits. Must be the wannabe ambulance chaser in me to look for a loophole.
And about Selim, why (click to show/hide)does he appear to lost 1/2 his physical age?

Well, (click to show/hide)seeing what is inside the door gave him the ability to transmute without a circle, but the door itself represents his alchemy. all alchemist, and possibly even those without this ability, have the "Gate of Truth", but only those who looked inside it and can tell what is this "truth" can understand how to transmute without a circle, but destroying the gate means he sacrificed all of his alchemy abilities.
