Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Kyoraku:
Honestly, the manga is covered extremely well in the series.
If you want to read it for completion sakes, go for it.

Thinking about it, the OVAs are kinda linked to some stuff in the new series, but nothing major. As in, the fact that Izumi was at Briggs is briefly mentioned in the main anime. Etc. If you know the characters, you'll enjoy them whenever you watch them. And they were released as OVAs far as I know, but I'm not sure on it.

I've never heard of that first special though, the ""Hagane no Renkinjutsushi" Complete Clarification!!"

And subs, I used Hiyano for it, and they were just fine.

Takeshi:
Haha, it seems Mr. Ask-A-Lot is back.

Watch the series from Eclipse, watch the specials from Hiyono. Read the manga afterwards if you wanna kill some time. :P

Takeshi:
OVA 4 is out, and man it's good. Maes and Roy's rivalry was funny as hell.

At one point I said to myself "senso dakara". I think it means that "this is war". And that's exactly what this OVA conveys.
