Didn't the soldiers who fell also "contribute"? But yeah, the width of the pipes were quite large so it doesn't make much sense. I liked it and I'll definitely be watching the insane-animating-scenes again. There's a limit to how much my eyes can absorb = try watching Advent Children for a second time. You're bound to see something new and even for a third time.

Did the soldiers contribute? That is the question. I would say no since the transmutation circle has to be kinda... half-open, meaning as little openings as possible.
Rizirdo:

Havoc10K:

We don't know how many people actually died there, they only showed around 200 soldiers falling in, but there could have been much more. You can't expect them to show everyone that died can you ?
I'm more confused about the effect the Philosophers stone had on them, people that ate them in the series died if I remember correctly and only humunculi could eat them without worry of dying. That's what I don't understand.
Also, she had the stone made of many lives, so using it all up to heal her brother shouldn't take away her leg at all.
Doesn't make sense.
Everything else was pretty cool.

Watching Brotherhood was a bit painful for me because FMA original has been one of my favourite series since forever. I've been delaying Brotherhood for years and years, and when I finally forced myself to download it I decided not to watch it until rewatching original series.
And when finally I started watching FMAB last April and realised how much more amazing it is compared to the original series I couldn't stand the thought of finishing the series and the story. Which in it's turn became a reason for me to stall the series halfway until recently. And finally a couple of days ago I mastered all my courage and forced myself to watch it all.
I must say that this is by all means one of the most amazing anime I have ever watched. The story, character development, animation, music, everything was perfection. The process of watching this series left me sobbing and crying for hours and hours.
Some people said I'm being silly for stalling it and not finishing especially when original run is one of my favourite anime. But do you know the feeling when something is sooooooo goddamn good you want to finish it as soon as possible but at the same time you are afraid of finishing it and being left without the greatness of it? >< That's what I've been going through.
