I don't need to say much about this other than if you want to see more stuff like this in theaters, then fucking go see the movie. I've seen it before, and didn't think it was a total waste of my time, but I'm going to see it in theaters, more so to show my support for anime and anime related films in US theaters.
ANN description of the movie. Though for some retarded reason they list it as a prequel, even though it's actually a sequel. It starts in the end of the second movie and finishes well afterwards.

L: The Last Name was, (IMO) the best out of the three.
Drextan:
I didn't really like L, change the WorLd, because there's nothing related to the whole Death Note and shinigami stuff at all
(click to show/hide)except the fact, that he'll die in some days, because of the Death Note...
It was okay though, I didn't waste my time... There's some interesting things about L in that movie...
(click to show/hide)YOU'LL SEE HIM STRAIGHTEN HIS BACK! AND RUN!!!

The poster at my local theater says something about the first showing will be subbed and the second will be dubbed. Wikipedia also confirms that. It sucks, because I'd like to see the subbed release, but I work that night.
