I finished Clannad ~AfterStory~a night ago, I'm impressed on how they sealed up all the loose holes. I got lost for about 5 minutes, then I recalled alot of things from Season 1 and some of Season 2 which flawlessly ties the loose ends together. Yes, I'm happy enough about how they ended ~AfterStory~. I also realized that I did not watch episode 24 in the first season! It seems like that episode is DVD only and its called Tomoyo After ~ Another World. I really, really loved that OVA. Then I did more research on Tomoyo and it seems like they released a game (PC first, PS2/PSP later) and they're going to re-release it again this year on the PS2 with extra features. Yes, they're making big bucks off of this and because Tomoyo is one of the main/supportive characters in the series.
(click to show/hide)The DVD edition with Tomoyo had a stronger impact on me rather than Tomoya being with Nagisa. There are more romantic feelings flowing between Tomoyo and Tomoya, I wish it was a bit longer. I wanted to see how they exactly fell in love, how things proceeded and right after the endings too. My favorite part is when Tomoya walks out of the school building while its snowing, and Tomoyo is waiting for him ... That part alone had a great impact on me than so many scenes in Clannad S1 & S2. It's one of the rarest scenes to be honest. You rarely see a smart student dropping their academic honor standards for another person, I rarely do. I call that true love! Tomoyo is a rare character ~ I'm happy that it ended good!Who else have seen the anime? What do you guys of the ending in Clannad S1 and S2 and also Tomoyo After (S1, ep. 24)?

I came across this manga, called Tomoyo After: Dear Shining Memories just yesterday. Chiyachan helped me to find the manga, but of course ... as always, Tatsujin did all the work ;) This is the first manga I have read and completed ... the story follows after Tomoya graduates from High School. Of course, Tomoyo graduates too (a year after). This manga is also told from Tomoyo's point of view, it follows accordingly to Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life (game). It's four chapters, and this is a very sad manga ... if you're planning on read this, then you better get alot of tissues ready ... I did cry here and there, but the last chapter was too sad to forget. I don't read manga very much, I don't like reading manga. But if it follows an anime I really like, then I'll certainly read it. I also got the songs for Tomoyo After and I've been listening to most of them, I planted most of them as 5/5 stars so I can listen to my 5 stars collection (thats how I do my favorites on WMP). There's couple of sad songs, and I could tell which parts they play in the game (specially the ending). I hope they turn this manga into an OVA, ... they'll make Tatsujin so happy ~
(click to show/hide) Isn't there an alternative ending in the game? Or does Tomoya really dies no matter what?

Does Clannad manga follow the stories in S1 and S2? I know its not complete yet. Gah, I want a TV series rather than some manga to read! What's Key/Kyoko Animation's next big project? I know K-ON! is one of theirs, but is it like Kanon/Clannad/AiR? I want to see more Clannad alternative! Kyou and Ryou!

Southrop edit: Did a quick URL fix ;)

Southrop:
I wanted to see some more arcs, like the Kyou arc, Ryou arc, Kappei arc (all three concern Kyou and Ryou, and could work out as the best situation).

(click to show/hide)Tomoya rejects Ryou after going out with her, which opens up the Kyou arc. Alternatively, in the Kappei arc, Ryou ends up getting married to Kappei. So, everything can be solved. Tomoya is with Kyou, Ryou is with Kappei.
You can tell I'm a real fan of the twins <_<

KEY/Visual Art's next project with KyoAni has not been announced yet, but it is likely to be Little Busters!. I'm really looking forward to it.  K-On!, is not a KEY work, by the way.

Also, Rin is mine.

(click to show/hide)Yea, I heard about Ryou's situation with Tomoya. Those two don't seem to work out very well, Kyou most of the time ends up with Tomoya. Now I want to play Clannad game that I was giving to by Cubes. <3 Is there an arc for Tomoyo in the game, too?
Edit -- Btw, KEY, Visual Art and KyoAni are awesome all together. What's Little Busters?! That doesn't sound very unique like Clannad and Kanon.

Arveene:
I've also heard a rumor of a Planetarian movie. Would love to see both Little Busters! and Planetarian in KyoAni form. I just finished going through Planetarian a couple of weeks ago and would love to see it animated. It really is a touching story.

Now back to Clannad AS.

I liked it and loved how it ended, but there were a few issues with it. I personally didn't have any, but a friend of mine watched this who didn't played the VN and did not like the ending at all. Now to finish playing through the VN.. I stopped to avoid spoiling too much of the anime and figured there would still be enough stuff not touched upon in the VN to still play it afterwards.

(click to show/hide)The scene that probably had the greatest impact on me was the final scene of the last episode as it's going through the epilogue. The final notes of Chiisana Tenohira are little Tomoya is walking through the field with his father.

I love all of the clannad series, tomoyo was one of my favourite out of the girls although she never appeared much in the series (also first time watching I could never tell who was Tomoya | Tomoyo...why must they have so similiar names)

In S2 there were many things that I was thinking of that they just easily made up a reason for like (click to show/hide)where the hell were Tomoya's friends lol, then later they simply explained, "oh we thought we should leave you alone for a while ...for 5 years... ??? and the whole alternate dimension thingy was alittle weird and confusing (click to show/hide)it turned out that in that dimension tomoya and usio were connected as in one episode she calls the robot thingy dad and then that is when the time warp happens, but when I think about it how in the world does that happen to connect with S1 as usio isn't even born yet, yet both nagisa and tomoya have some connection with the dreams/play p.s. (click to show/hide)Tomoya was bad father lol
What I was hoping for in S2 were more story for the other girls but it focused on Tomoya, so in the end you only briefly see the support characters.
