Yea, first problem solved. The older version of 2004 works flawlessly, no sweat. It's all in Japanese tho' so that sucks big, big time! I got the English patches, the problem is installing them correctly. Argh ... I want to do the Full Version since it has more CG and extras.

I got a version that has a voice patch and a modified English patch.

The English patch only works with that version of the game (i.e. unvoiced).
The translation isn't perfect; as lost of errors and such, but it's still playable.

Well I guess its worth of watching. I was a bit sceptical about Tomoyo after too, but it turned out to be great.

She's got the sort of personality and behavior that ........... attract me. >_>;; I favor Kyou, Tomoyo and Misae over the rest of the girls.

You should play Clannad game, its much deeper than the anime to be honest. I'm pretty amazed by the stories and the turn-arounds and the arcs. I'm finishing up Misae-san's arc.

and you're right it gets much deeper. Played Misae, Tomoyo, Kyou, Ryou and Sunohara siblings arcs so far.

Kyou seemed like the more reasonable choice to go with out of the remaining girls. (lol and I'm just thinking of Yokuzura Quartet and Kara no Kyoukai 5 (around 08:25-08:50)...haha tsun tsun dere dere

Tomoyo - Already done.
Ryou - Her twin sister Kyou provides a little more action with her hot temper so it would seem more exciting to choose her sister over the calmer and shyer sister Ryou.
Kotomi - She seems more of a support character to the other girls, focusing directly on her would be a little difficult as she tends to need her many friends around for something interesting to happen.

Haha. To be honest, Tomoya and Kyou are a really good match. Their personalities are similar.

What I've completed:
Tomoyo, Misae, Yukine, Fuko, Nagisa, Kyou, Ryou, Kappei, Sunohara Siblings.
I'm currently in the Kotomi arc.
Haven't actually touched the game for months, because I found the Kotomi arc boring, and have been busy anyway.

for those who haven't been following the guide, might wanna read what it says in the top.

Edit -- And for those of you who love Clannad series and want to know more about the characters, their feelings, how they relate to each other and OTHER scenery that were never presented in the anime. Then you really need to get this game. Check the link up there to see the arcs for each character presented (there are males too, but non-gay / straight type). This is one of the best visual novels ...

Edit 2 -- I keep forgetting, the game completes Clannad and Clannad ~AfterStory~ and it goes beyond it. What the hell, I'm wasting my time here. I'm gonna go back and finish Misae's arc really quick!

Don't play the game till your exams are done. I'm being very, very honest. It's addicting if you like storytelling games, specially something like this.

Sunohara makes this game very interesting. It kills all the fill ins, he's so ridiculously funny ... I feel bad for him! But oh well.

Anyways, do this ... don't play it, keep it in your head daily, and keep checking back here. Once your exams are up then go and start playing it. The game is HUGE, it's not something lite!

Btw, as for Misae's arc ...

Sunohara in the game is kinda meh. Well of course he's funny. He always is, but he's more like just a clown there unlike in the series (where he's a clown too), but manages to be very caring for those around him too.

Of course, there are 13 variations of what you can dub. Things like "You're a Mongolian Chop". It's very lolsome.
