So last night I finished Tomoyo's arc ... everything falls in place, where as the last episode in Clannad (1st season) had openings and fillings, the game fills in all those gaps and explains what happened and how things ended up. I'm wondering in "After Story" it seems like it only targets Nagisa, and ignores the other characters ... What is Yukine's storage room curse?! ... That confuses me. I'm taking a small break from the game, Tomoyo's arc was really touching ... damn it KEY!

In honesty, I think I would have preferred more OVAs with Tomoyo and I'm sure I'll feel the same thing about Kyou. I just didn't like how things went with Nagisa ... =/ I didn't like her character that much either.

Managed to set up full voice version - even helped Tatsu here - so if you need the right patches for it to work pm me...

Now I can join the ranks, but I'm a little behind, just started up with Misae...

lol I feel tempted to read the VN (I can't really call them games as all you do is just read) but it would be time consuming, I've even got Fate/Stay Night VN for ages but I just haven't really had the time and I'm still on the prologue for it :p

Been playing the novel now for a while, completly love it along with the rest of the series - and I found a bit of information on Tomoyo After - it's almost complete here's a quote

Baka-Tsuki is doing the translation of Tomoyo too - there's a bit of a stall since they need more translators.
But from what I managed to gather up is - that the game translatation is almost complete.

Been doin' some more digging but the date is still TBA....

Edit: The quote I left earlier was left a couple of weeks ago, and mainly the hold up now is that most their translators are still working on completing Clannad FV - since it is not yet translated fully.

Oh and bumped into the intro on Crunchyroll if anyone wants to see it....

Touching, touching series. Made me reflect on my personal experiences more often than I should.

I hope After Story will be just as good like the majority said it would be.

Your gonna need a box of tissues. Read the Dear Shining Memories (can be found on Box) if you want to see how Tomoyo and Tomoya's story progress.

Would be awesome if the updates are posted here. I'll be waiting until its fully translated and all before i start playing.. taking lots of mental power considering the fact that i've just finished after story D=

~After Story~: 24/24
Wow. Not only did it live up to its predecessor, but it surpassed it.

9.5/10.
Only 2 tiny flaws kept it from getting a 10 IMO:
- Atrocious ED (did not fit the theme of the anime)
- Some use of recycled plot elements at the end

Nevertheless, this was probably the most beautiful story that I've encountered.

I agree completely. Clannad After Story is a true masterpiece.
It was really unfortunate that that ED was so inappropriate. It almost completely ruined the emotional mood the episodes themselves set up. It was appropriate exactly one time, I think, when the ending of the episode transitioned directly into the ED. But it was still a little weird.

Interesting. With this, they're filling in one of the biggest gaps in the Anime adaptation. Even though I understand that plot-wise, Fujibayashi siblings arc would've been the ultimate dead end in the anime, I still didn't like it. I'll be eager to see how good this will be.

I'm kinda disappointed they basically pulled a, "Haha just kidding, it was all a dream! Life is now happy! YAYY!" when they invested so much time into the story of Nagisa dying. If they didn't have the daughter die too (jebus if that ended up panning out imagine how depressed he'd be after THAT) I think it'd be a risky but well done story of the rekindled love between father and daughter.

Definitely a confusing anime..
