Clannad [Series]

Really, Tatsujin? I watched 1 Litre of Tears, and I just couldn't really feel that horribly upset. I feel for the girl, but because I know I won't be able to go through what she did, I couldn't really connect with her as a person on an emotional level of that magnitude. At least with Clannad, Okazaki's and Nagisa's relationship is similiar in alot of ways to my own relationship with my g/f.

The connection is just hard to make with Litre than it was with Clannad. I did, however, look up the disease the girl suffered from after watching the series, and read up a bit about the girl herself. It was emotional, however I couldn't make the connection for some reason.

I haven't seen 1 Litre of Tears, but I will say that Clannad is excellent at conveying emotion to the viewer. Only a few exceptional series have made a connection that strong with me as a viewer. Nothing in all about my life resembles that of Tomoya or any other character in the series, but the connection was still made despite that.

That's your opinion. My opinion views pretty differently. If we push 1 Litre of Tears to the side, there are still few others that do a better job for expressing drama - like Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. I'm not the type that likes miracles and magic happening and Clannad has those for once. Clannad is a really really good show. I've seen it about 5 or 6 times already. I just don't like the "magic" it has for a drama show.

But then again. 1 Litre of Tears is a hell of an awesome show. Nagareboshi is another superb awesome drama show - fucking love Ueto Aya. Taiyou no Uta is another favorite of mine, too. The music and story were really great. It's such a shame these Japanese Dramas weren't adapted into an anime. Those three that I mentioned are above Clannad in my drama collection. I was also planning to re-watch Clannad again ... but well ...

Now if they would make Tomoyo After anime with True Ending as the sad part and Good Ending with (click to show/hide)Tomoya surviving then I'd so watch that a lot.

Hmm this makes me both want to watch it, and run away.

I guess its not anime? I see it was a tv drama and a movie..

I did actually find the magic aspect of Clannad to be a nice part. While it isn't the best anime to everyone, it is a good anime to most, not that I particularly speak for most. :P

(click to show/hide)The way they revealed parts of the alternate world in pieces over many episodes and you really didn't know what that was about til the very end. I was kind of like " Ok, now that makes sense " If you are referring to the Fuko arc, well, that one I liked as well, if for no other reason than it was touching in it's own way and Fuko was cute as hell. ;D
