I was wondering the same, will they release Clannad (and Kanon too) BluRays? Although the Air ones are horrible aliased. I hope they won't do the same with Clannad/Kanon.

MTR:
There hasn't been anything announced yet to my knowledge, but I wouldn't be surprised. Anything KyoAni and Key can do to make a buck. Plus considering their Air BD release was pretty popular, I don't see any reason for them not to release Kanon and Clannad in BD.

I hope they do. I want HD Nagisa~

I second that...

But are we supposed to believe that somehow he went back in time and that 'memory' where his daughter dies ends up being nothing more than a dream? Was Nagisa actually living the true reality? Or are they both actual realities that both happened and his daughter in that different world takes him back in time where they escape their terrible fate? Wouldn't be so far-fetched considering all the ghosts and trippy things in the series.
You gotta admit the story is at least a little convoluted lol. I'll go rewatch a few of the later episodes.

The anime adaptation is a little confusing due to the nature of the visual novel.
(click to show/hide)In the game, Nagisa's and Ushio's death is part of the bad end, which you have to play through at least once in order to obtain all the lights that are available in the After Story. In order to get the 'true end', you have to have all thirteen lights (all School Life and After Story lights, I'm too lazy starting to name them), after which you'll be able to choose whether Tomoya calls out to Nagisa in the 'dream' in her deathbed, saving her life using the lights.

Consider the 'going back in time' restarting the game rather than anything else. It makes much more sense that way.

--- Quote from: Tatsujin ---Yup, that's another reason why I never liked Nagisa's story, aside from the fact that there were barely ..

(click to show/hide)any romance between Tomoya and Nagisa. He had a better experience with Tomoyo and Kyou ... just why the hell did they choose Nagisa? They could have added more romance scenes, but there were barely any ...............

Imo, she was able to help him in a way no one else could have - including the Fujibayashi twins.
