Lucky Star episode 5

When the teacher and the cousin/cop meet each other at the festival in episode 5, there's a part (after roughly 10:45) where first some kanji is shown with arrows pointing to the teacher, then it cuts to the cousin and there's kanji pointing at her too.  The cousin is confused, then they both laugh and the cousin is still confused.  What do the kanji say?

Pointing at the teacher: Is single.
Pointing at the cop: Husband works far away.

Mmm i think the subs EnA did have it? because I remember reading that part. It's because the teacher thinks the cousin cop is also single and laughs with her as if they are both on the same side (singles) while in fact she is not.

On randomness: I always thought that the teacher looked a lot like someone from a series produced by the same people i.e. AIR. The 'mother' person has that same fang and similiar look but different hair colour, in my imagination after 'Air' finished she decided to become a teacher for kids :p

How about at the end of episode 8, during the Lucky Channel show... what is written on the clipboard pre and post tearing off the front?

I think it's something like Big Exhibition, my version (a.f.k.) doesn't have a translation either. It doesn't matter much to the show in this case.
