I had the same sentiments of S1+S2 > S3. But I think something else lacked in S3, and its not animation. No matter how crap the animation is, as long as the scenes are still entertaining, it will be okay for me. Uh, and the 3rd season failed for that. Yes, some scenes were rather enjoyable, but the "magic" (yeah, hard to explain actually) that the previous seasons gave me is somewhat gone.

I totally understand, it just didn't have that same Minami-ke feeling like it did for the first and second series, it felt like they just made a 3rd for the hell of it and milk out some money  if possible.

Also to mention, the info provided on such sites:

Quote
A year has passed since "Okawari" and the three sisters have grown up. Their likings and moods are almost the same, Haruka the older sister is a love-giving mother to the younger sisters, but she's also a discipline follower, Kana the middle one leaves everything to the last possible moment and always gives trouble to this trio, and Chiaki, the youngest, is the calculating and manipulating one, she likes to be admired and loved by Haruka and always gives trouble to the less blessed Kana. An unbalanced family, but besides of that they love each other with their whole heart. This family's daily life is as funny as ever, trouble and love is always present, now its time to see if they'll survive this age change since Haruka is now a young adult and she has even more responsibilities while having to watch over her younger sisters while adjusting to adult life.

I feel that was a complete and utter fabricated lie, nothing really changed at all, there was no 'oh your gonna start university and now you have no time for your sisters, they'll have to make do' or anything like that, just what 'responsibilities' did she recieve? I can't even recall anything happening :/

So lets look forward to the 4th season being made by the people who made the 1st season!

4th season? bleh, if there were a 4th season, I'd like to see some real change happen that would affect their lives alittle more i.e. big decisions like haruka getting a job (which would change the plot abit, just like how they ended S2...or was it S1...can't really recall, watched 1 after the other.

I dunno about S3, I think S1+S2 were better than 3, maybe it was the completely horrendous animation that put me off (with the weirded eyes and such). When I think of Minami-ke, I always go back to S1+S2 random parts that I found funny, as for S3 I don't recall much.

I had the same sentiments of S1+S2 > S3. But I think something else lacked in S3, and its not animation. Hosaka perhaps? I know I miss him a lot after the ending of season 1, his laughter is what i enjoyed and miss most!

I personally loved S1 but season 2 was ok...not to bad. But Season 3 just seem unbearable quality who the heck let them draw so bad? I am no longer interested in it as much. Maybe I'll watch it when its all finished up but that is if no other good anime is out. But I still watch season 1 because I think its hilarious.

I like S1 & S2 more than the third season. Every characters look cuter than this one especially S2 that so looovely for me. Anyway, the stories of all seasons are very good. I can't stop watching from the first episode to the end.
I like Kana the most. The way she acts and the way she make troubles with her hyper-active personality is so cute :D

Ayako just released Minami-Ke OVA for Okaeri. That's new to me, is it only one OVA or couple more on the way?

* Southrop shakes his head.

Their translations were very weak. On the other hand, I've spent nearly 3 weeks trying to figure out a few lines and ensuring that my translations (for Chihiro) are as accurate as possible.

I never even started on the third season... Somehow the second seemed dull and uninspired after the first (which was hilarious). Though Chiaki and Kana could perhaps get me to give the series another shot  :D
