and get run over by a car or something? no thanks.

*car runs over a bike* bike dies almost instantly.
*car1 runs over a car2* car2 sues car1 of property damage.

Been hit by one car and I'm still here, your argument is invalid.

you got a couple of white paint splatters on your front bumper =P or it looks like white paint splatters.

POP THE HOOD MAN, SERIOUSLY. if you want to showcase a macho car, pop the hood!

Those "white paint splatters" are actually chips/scuffs in the plastic bumper which look like they came from hella stones. Whoever had it before me sure took this car places because there's plenty of scuff/scrape marks all over the car. I plan on doing a lot of detail work over the summer to get them out (the dealership threw in a small thing of detail paint which was nice). As for popping the hood, since when has a stock 1.7L four banger been macho (no, i am not a ricer/hipster wannabe)? I could pop it if you really wanted but it's a pretty standard northern car with standard northern rust.

Also, i love those pics Daley!  ;D

@aghstnashell, it varies on how you got "run over" i`ve seen some fly a couple of meters away from their bike, literally. but here in my country theres a really fucked up saying "if you're gonna go run over something, kill it instead of letting it live, funeral fee is sooo much cheaper."

for the lulz

@natheria, lol, you should check under the car too, if theres alot of scratches around, there might be hidden damages under as well. bah, i`ve seen 0.6L engines on city drive cars XD

it also applies on my country, but our investigation team sucks, so proving its just an accident would be easy and would only lead to funeral fees and others. hospitalization and a high possibility of operation fees are tad more expensive XD

yea proper gears are cheaper than hospital fees, though running a bike at reckless speeds always leads to accidents, most likely deaths, be it geared or not. car's shell can save your life better than open air bike though =P, i`d like to see an airbag on a bike...

Edit: i just remembered some bum modus somewhere, buy a cheap car and get it run over by some rich guy, be sure to stay alive(but get some minor injuries too) and sue the person for damage to private property and voala, profit. instead of using the money you sucked up into repairing the ruined car, junk the car and get a new cheap car XD

now thats funny, wonder if it works, most of the passenger's trajectory goes up like a catapult, that is if the impact is from the front, if its on the sides, pray that your legs aint gonna get minced.

whats the opening on the hood for? a super charger? cool~ i wonder if people would combine the use of both super charger and turbo charger. theres already a couple of projects with this one but is there any successful one yet?

Top mounted intercooler. No supercharger, regular turbo.

There are cars with both supercharger and turbocharger, volkswagen golf, for example; WW2 fighters also used twincharging if I'm not completely mistaken.

yea, read some articles with successful super+turbo chargers though most of them are custom DIY projects.

The regular Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI uses twincharging.
Lancia Delta S4 rally car used twincharging back in the day too. With 2.3 seconds to 100km/h we can say it was quite succesfull too.  ;D

A friend and i already checked underneath the car before i bought it. Seemed fine. I noticed today though that the driver side door lock won't go down when i push it but will lock fine and go down no problem if i use the key to lock it instead. I looked it up and apparently 90's and early 00's Honda's actuators sometimes go bad. I plan on calling the dealer to see if it might be covered under their 30 day warranty but if not it looks like a cheap fix i could do myself and it still locks fine.

eh the open air and ability of the rider of a motorcycle is often what saves them its only when that part is stopped by hitting another object (flying off the bike and hitting the object they hit) that it becomes death.  There is tons of cases of a motorcycle rider crashing at 120+ mph and they tumble for 1/4 mile are bruised all over a broken arm and other then that are just fine. Because instead of airbags and a seatbelt to stop them right away. They have the force being dissipated over a much longer period of time
