I also just use BoxTorrents browse/offer pages, see whats new (as it tends to offer the better subbed groups) and then check it out on those anidb pages to see more in detail.

So I mainly get my 'new' anime from BoxTorrents :O

I've only used ANN's top 10 once, and that was to help me find Gurren Lagann :)

never ever really cared either. i look for ratings and for the past year and a half i've been looking at the releases and pick out the ones that are interesting ............... i've pretty much watched too much to name for this past year.

I look at the intro/outro on youtube, if it appeals, I watch. If not, I don't.
-shrug- Sue me, but it works fine for me. =P

Nope I usually don't check rankings since a lot of the time i don't agree with many of the common trends in anime. I usually look for recommendations and see what other people that have similar tastes as me think of it if I think I'm interested. Then Ill usually download the first few episodes to see if I like it and if I do then Ill get the whole series.

vuzedome:
I download, and if I like, I keep, if the first few minutes are bad, then get a different one.
