Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn

<< < (4/7) > >>

Takeshi:
I've started to watch it now, I just finished episode 6. The comedy is all right, but the main motivation for watching this anime is "how" good it'll be once those 20 episodes clear up. 9 out of 10 people says the same thing, that it'll be awesome after 20 episodes. I've been thinking about one thing; was Daily Life Arc supposed to be longer? Did AMANO Akira originally intend for Hitman to be like this? To have characters introduced like this, and then change the content so drastically. Also, there's not a sense of logical fighting so far, far from Bleach and Naruto standards, especially after seeing Shippuuden 143 this week. I lol'ed at Hibari fighting Goku and Takeshi in episode 4, was it?

EDIT: I'm on episode 19 now, next episode will be interesting. I hope the content will be satisfied actionable. These 19 episodes have been very hard to watch. I travelled by train this weekend, and saw some episodes. My little brother was watching this thriller, and I was watching this. :D I'll edit this once I finish the Kokuyo Arc.

EDIT2: It seems like a lot of stuff from the manga hasn't been used for the anime, mainly talking about stuff from the Daily Life arc....maybe that was a good idea.

EDIT3: I have to ask, where the anime is now, does Yamamoto Takeshi still think everything is a game? :-\

EDIT4: Oh God, they've censored Hitman. On Animesuki there was a lot of people complaining about that when the anime began to air in 2006. Now I'll definitely read the manga.

EDIT5: I went from the end of the Kokuyo Arc, and started to read the manga from there, Oh God, it's so much better. I'm now on chapter 94. I think I'll just read it to the latest chapter, and then watch the anime if I feel like it, although the anime seems to be censored, it has strong points. Even though the manga is better overall, it's still interesting to see something you've read get adapted into moving pictures.

Some people on Animesuki was exited over Artland doing this anime, I honestly can't seem to share their excitement.

Yes Hitman Reborn was censored abit. Basically its just less blood and removed Gokudera's smokes because a 15 year old chain smoker isn't something they want to portray to the kiddies.

The in manga there are extra stories. Stories that are like fillers or bonus stuff. The anime takes these stories and bundles them up and shows them in batch lots. Hence the reason there are 2 sets of fillers 27-33 and 66-73.

Its hard to say. Future Yamamoto takes it seriously so he changes somewhere. I think Yamamoto changes about halfway through the future arc...
(click to show/hide)When he founds out that his father was killed by the an enemy family. At that point he realizes that this is no longer a game and decides to give up baseball to become a true swordsman. (This is similar to the First's Rain Guardian who gave up music to become a Rain swordsman.)

The manga is good. However I much prefer anime. I find its alot easier to empathize with the characters. Thats just me though.

kenshin-dono:
i grabed the first 150something epps off here when freelech was up. I was gonna get the next dozen or so past that but im not sure where to snag them Is horriblesubs the only way to go? I notice a couple other groups have the epps subed but no real ratings or anything on them. The 2 i noticed at a glance were AL-TTZ and animeload

wondering which i should snag for the rest that are translated so far since horrible subs is.. well horrible, lol.

Takeshi:
Go with HorribleSubs. They're consistent with their CR rips. But you don't really need to do it since I'll be swapping the torrent as soon as there is an opening.

Depends on how long it takes you to watch 153 episodes...

Meomix:
It isn't worth the watch, i can tell just by looking at it. It will be another Bleach nightmare where the characters are stuck in an endless loop of filler. I kind of thank D.gray.man for outright canceling its run before it completely hit this point.
