The artwork in the manga is absolutely amazing. Just see this. I'm almost finished with the Varia Arc, I toggle between the manga and anime to see how things are done. Only a few times has the anime captured the "feeling" the manga gives me.

Go with HorribleSubs. They're consistent with their CR rips. But you don't really need to do it since I'll be swapping the torrent as soon as there is an opening.

Depends on how long it takes you to watch 153 episodes...
HorribleSubs is definitely the way to go at the moment. I tried a few others but the subs are crap and ended up redownloading the episodes from HorribleSubs.

It does depend but I wouldn't count on updating it soon. It will be a few months before a gap appears probably. I mean they are only up to 166 at the moment. So it will be at least another 10 eps or so before a gap, probably more.

Yeah. Unfortunately the anime doesn't have the great artwork that the manga did and I think it would be much nicer if it did but I can watch both so you get the best of both worlds.

It isn't worth the watch, i can tell just by looking at it. It will be another Bleach nightmare where the characters are stuck in an endless loop of filler. I kind of thank D.gray.man for outright canceling its run before it completely hit this point.
Of course it is. And many people believe that they don't want to watch it and there is nothing wrong with that. However there is a reason that Bleach become popular and continued. One Piece has been going 11 years now or something. By the same rights it should be a nightmare too but its still reasonably popular so those sorts of shows must be doing something right.

I see this show as the kid brother of Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. Its taking the same approach as them to gain popularity, but just started after them and is now trying to catch up.

Hitman Reborn is not everyone's cup of tea but its managed to stay in production this long and I personally really enjoy it and will support it till it finishes.

tnx for the info. Refering to it in the same breath as Bleach seriosuly put me off, i hate that show but am trapped to keep watching it since i invested so much time in it. At this point its just watching it on adult swim though and theyre on hiatus for now, thank god.

its on my HD so i'll watch it eventually i guess and swap out the horrible subs as needed, but theres a lot of other stuff to watch including some other long series like D.grayman, and some 50ish plus ones that look a lot better like Kemono no Souja Erin (friggin finish it SS! yeesh, just waiting on that to start this one, cuz i loved moribito), Soul eater, Nana, ect

Seen 13 episodes thus far and it seems like a major let down, anybody else had the same feeling? I really dislike those baby characters especially the latter two that were introduced, I was like OMG more babies. Is it worth to keep watching?

You have to realize that the first 20-40 eps (First arc is 19 eps but some believe the hill continues till 40ish) are really just introducing the characters, giving them back stories and letting you get to know them. From then on the series is excellent but its just that first hill that you have to climb. I know that it is a stupid idea and it shouldn't take that long but if you have all the eps then you may as well try to make it over the first giant step.

I watched to ep 19 and then gave up for about a month or two. I decided to return and finish it and I never look back. The series picked up and was great.

Let me just say this to all since everyone seems to down it for a bad part of the series. The babies are explained. Unfortunately Lambo and I-Pin are not special like Reborn and the others that you meet later but they serve as an almost kid brother and sister to the main characters and these 2 actually act like what a 5 yr old would... barring the endless supply of grenades and the martial arts.

I hope you are right and it will get better, I have high hopes.

You wont care anymore once it begins to feel like torture.
When you think of the show the only reaction you can produce is pain and avoidance.
Once you reach that level its time to go.

Have you even seen it? And D.Gray Man wasn't cancelled because they wanted to. The manga author got sick, IIRC.

However, I do kind of agree with you that I'm glad they had to end it. I'd much rather want anime adaptations at Major and Hajime No Ippo level. Although they're allowed to have a faster pace than HnI's.

So the series ended, but is supposed to come back as a new series. Still stalled at the end of the Varia arc. I've tried restarting the series from the beginning of the Varia arc, but after one episode I've come up with 10 other things I could be using my time on (other anime and real life). :P

alright ive seen up to episode 202, and yeah its not a heavy hitter and gets a little weird, but i thinks its good. The whole baby curse thing, the rings and box weapons, which made no sense but was cool, and the whole Tsuna underdog turning into a heavy hitter and kinda respectable was nice too.

Over all, id say watch it. Its not the best, but it helped when i ditched one piece for their fillers, and FMA: Brotherhood when waiting for the final episodes.
Only those in light fear darkness.

I only see up to 150 episodes done. Where can I get the rest? Is there a batch?

made no sense but was cool

Can generally describe the series. It's like the bishonen successor to Dragon Ball Z - good artwork, interesting battle scenes, some vibrant characters, but purposely lacking in much else.

The anime and manga both had a complicated period where they transferred over from being a gag manga to a battle manga - the gag manga, which is generally followed in the first quarter of the anime series, was rather boring. The battle manga was somewhat entertaining, but has either gone on too long or simply lacks imaginative flare for me. The anime stops at just the right point in my opinion.

Looks like the manga has ended. Doubt the anime will continue.
