Havoc10K:
tbh after seing the first ep l already knew how the series wil lend and all that, l stopped watching at ep 10, l admit it was well made and all that but after ep 10 everything was so damn predictable it made me sick.

The main character gets a special power, and also happens to be a genius. Uses his power and wit to fight his enemy(s). Takes an episode or two to get into it, but it's a good watch. Especially if you are a fan of Death Note.

Death Note and Code Geass are both like sweet, sweet anime candy.

I did really like Death Note, but I didn't like the ending.
(click to show/hide)Not because it was too abrupt, or because I necessarily wanted to see Light win. I wanted to see Light change. We really see no moral development over the course of the series in Light or any other character, really. So to me, just having morally-stock Light killed off in the end is pretty trite. It's very "old literature". It tricks you at first by having so much of the action happen inside of Light's mind so you think it's going into his psychology, but it really doesn't do more than a portrait. The series really didn't take advantage of a lot of the avenues that could have easily been exploited to make it much more satisfying. That being said it's still a SUPER fun watch right up to the very end. It's just exciting to see what Light is going to do next, and how he'll react as things proceed.

i agree death note is top 3 selected but i like the ending.... (click to show/hide)light was kinda cool in the beginning but as time went by he treated his women poorly. thats the only real reason i dislike him, he deserved to fail at the end for his sloppiness. he relied to much on other people and recruits. he could have found a way not to rely on people. that was his downfall. not to mention his plan at the end was bad, he woulda won had he thought "he probably expects that mizuki (w/e his name was) would have had a fake note bookthat is all

Havoc10K:
the Yagami is a pun from makers of deathnote, it's a hint that (click to show/hide)he will die in the end cuz hes gay, and not the homo gay, he just acts gay, fucking gay, all the time in his cool and at the end HES GAY ! and thats what you expect from a Yagami name ;]hahah

IX:
I liked the ending.  I actually feel that if the series ended in another way, it would have felt strange.

Overall I liked Death Note, it was one of the anime that got me into my current high velocity stint into the anime world when it came out. Granted the "N" segment wasn't anywhere close to the "L", it just wasn't enough to take away from how good the first 2/3 of the show were.
