something better than strawberry panic! you say?
To the download mobile!
Oh yea, so much better. Strawberry Panic had fillers. This one is more peaceful, flowers, roses, and more Yuri (romance!) and less drama. I'm very happy that so far, nothing is throwing at your face like Strawberry Panic's last episodes.

Canas -- You already know what I was doing yesterday. So hush! I actually saw two full OVAs in the morning (around sunrise) before work! Wooohooo. Sachiko is freaking AWESOME!!

Less drama? I'd like to think of it as more real drama, less oops-girls-falling-over-each-other forced interaction, heh.

Now, I haven't watched this (though I've been meaning to), but I've read a little of the manga, and I thank whatever powers may be (meaning the author, I suppose) that there isn't anything in it as silly as Strawberry Panic. The Panic girls all look emaciated, it's no wonder they keep fainting all over the place.

Less bad-drama? I guess I stated it wrong. There's better romance and drama in my opinion. I just finished the OVA. <3 Very good! I'll start on Season 4 after I wake up. I need to do some PhotoShop work too. >_>;; I owe someone an ava/banner.

Sachiko ................... . <3

Edit -- On season 4 ... Chihiro, what's with the freaking video? Why are the video lines skipping and creating some sort of separation between the motion images? ................... ......

Maria-sama is one of my favourite series ever. Sei it´s the best too!!

What I like more about the show is how the characters grown slowly and realistically. Some series never change the personality of the charas but this is a serie about growing up.
I watched Strawberry Panic series but it´s so forced  :-\, there´s not similar with Marimite

Exactly! Exactly! And there's a lot of room to keep releasing more seasons. Those who've seen it already know who I'm talking about. The OVA (3rd season) is by far the best I have ever seen in the series, and over all in Shoujo Ai genre. Animation, color, plot, story, ... it's very peaceful and there's heavier emotions that are put forward and were given chances to prove in reality.

Sachiko and Yumi were young in S1 and S2 they couldn't communicate very well, but that changes in S3 and S4. Other characters like Shimako and her younger sister (name?) also Rei, Sei and Yoshino. <333

I'm gonna re-watch the OVA this summer.

so then, you would say this anime is far superior to something like.. oh I don't know, School Days?  :P

IIRC from the discussion page, it was a problem with the source. Can't remember the details of it though.

Time to bring this thread back from the dead.   ;)

Okay, I just started this season because it scores generally well, and WOW I was amazed.  I wound up marathoning it over the past week.

I have to ask, WHY did Sei get her hair cut?  After she did that I could barely stand to see her anymore.   :-\

Oh, and +1 to the character development in this series!  I despised Touko up until fourth season, then I found myself cheering for her.  Sheer awesome.

Anyone know odds on 5th season or another group of OVAs?  I couldn't find anything on ANN or the interwebz.

You should put that in spoiler or color it white!

My favorite season was the third one, the 5 OVAs. They were 50 minutes long per episode, and they were peaceful. As for season 5, with the way they left things in season 4 ... oh hell yea. You can bet on it ~

It was so mean of them to end season 4 when they did.  Touku and Yumi are so perfect together, even moreso than Sachiko and Yumi!  After episode 13, I was just thinking, grrrr...where's episode 14?!?!!?

I cannot approve of Touko. =/ Sachiko and Yumi are a much better couple in my eyes! -declares so-

Anyone else feel like the show misses a huge opportunity with that camera girl to have her get a souer or something?  I really like her and she's always helping everyone out, but she's never really focused on...at all.   :-\

know what else was missing? Portaling.
season 4 intro has some kind of weird Portal thing going on. But they didn't Portal at all.
