Author Topic: Torrents unable to download/upload data (Read 6329 times)

I've searched around on the message boards and there doesn't appear to be a clear solution to this problem.

- i'm unable to download/upload any data with torrents from boxtorrents, under the trackers tab of uTorrent it reads: [DHT] not allowed, [Local Peer Discovery] not allowed, [Peer Exchange] not allowed and http://tracker.boxtorrents.com:2710/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/announce.php offline (timed out)

- Using uTorrent 1.8.2 (updated recently from 1.8, problem was occuring before though)

Any other information I could give that would be helpful? thanks in advance.

Have you tried redownloading the torrent and adding it again?

What specific torrent(s) are you having trouble with? Any of them with a low amount of seeders and/or leechers?

- Yes i've tried to redownload the torrent and several others the same problem.

- I've tried changing my key same problem.

- Lastly i've tried a different torrent client (Vuze) same problem.

EDIT:
All torrents had a good amount of seeders (i.e. Black Lagoon, Blood+ the series). I think this is a universal problem with all box torrents.

What port are you using for torrents?
Maybe your ISP is blocking that port and you can't get a connection through that to box?

I'm using 2000 for torrents, just changed it to 30000. I don't think it's to do with the ISP blocking ports as all other torrents work (non box-torrents, torrents)

If it is not the port and other torrents are functioning properly maybe it's your firewall which blocks connections to tracker.boxtorrents .com:2710 ?

Don't know which one you are using and in what detail you can change the preferences for the filterrules in yours.

I don't run a firewall and windows firewall is switched off. This wasn't a problem in the past i've not installed any sort of security software recently or windows update etc. it's a bit of a baffling problem ~_~

Okay, so
- no Firewall in the way
- it's not the port
- it's not the key
- it's not the torrent-client
- there are enough Seeders for the torrent

Now i can think of only two things:
All of the Seeders of the torrents have "Force Encryption" activated
The DSN you use blocks tracker.boxtorrents .com

Solution for the first would be enabling encryption and for the second to change the tracker entry in the torrent from tracker.boxtorrents .com to the ip of the tracker

Or maybe it is your Windows *cough*

Curses... i am having the exact same problem.

Currently i'm seeding Kotetsushin Jeeg, downloading Cowboy Bebop and Magic Knight Rayearth and everything was ok this weekend, but just today i'm on my computer but nothing came up, it appears as no seeders no leachers and i checked my status and it shows that i'm not downloading or seeding anything...

For Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu and Saint Tail by EngelGroup it says "Failure: access denied, leeching forbidden, you are only allowed to seed." It says that I am seeding, but there is no ratio. To the left where the arrows are, they are red. I tried to change the trackers from .boxtorrents to .bakabt, but it doesn't work. The arrow is still red. I am not getting any ratio for the two torrents, so I'm wondering if I'm really seeding at all. For Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsuna Koto ~Someday's Dreamers~, I'm seeding and the arrow is green but the ratio is zero. How can I fix all my problems? I'm not really good with technology so I can't really describe more unless somebody tells me what I should be looking for. Other than that, everything else works for me. If somebody could help, I would really appreciate it.

If you are getting a message about not being able to leech, that means your ratio is too low, and you'll have to seed before you can download. If t the Haruhi torrent is incomplete, that is your problem. And if you can't seed if there's no one downloading. If Mahou Tsukai ni Taisetsuna Koto ~Someday's Dreamers~ says seeding and you changed the domain to bakabt, you are probably seeding, but no one is downloading, and there's not much you can do about that.

it seems that you can't connect to the tracker
try pinging (tracker.bakabt.com), if it fails then try ping 95.211.6.148
if it's ok maybe you could swap the dns with the IP. if it still fails ask your isp.

I have been here onlyalready a week, I haven't received any warning lettters, haven't been banned.
I have downloaded several torrents, but of them is not downloading for a week already. In the torrent-client I see only this http://i.piccy.info/i4/a6/1e/53e9df98accd932e5c7922cb73a4.png So i see that there ARE people who seed and leech it, and in the thread I see each time that the last seed was 1 min ago, but I can't download a single Mb

i guess it's something in your utorrent settings, could you elaborate a bit what the text in the screenshot reads?.

It was swapped 14th February, so chances are you have the old version? $:-\$ Try downloading the .torrent-file again and see if utorrent says it's already there...

Otherwise, problem must be in your settings as when tried, I got ~60KBs on a partial download with only a few files checked, and that with a dozen other torrents from elsewhere downloading...

Blubart - it only shows status Downloading (Загружае), and that alone doesn't tell us much...
More helpful would be the text in the tracker tab, column status usually holds the answer.

actually I downloaded it after it was swapped already
the whole picture of the bakabt.com torrents

the columns: 1. name of torrent; 2.position/order; 3. size; 4. received; 5. %; 6. status (Загру... - loading;разда.. - seeding); 7. seeds; 8. peers; ....16. added; 17. finished/downloaded completely
so some files are downloaded fine, some are still on 0%
I already redownloaded Inuyasha OSt several times - nothing changes...
I wonder if the low ratio blocks my downloading ability =_="

Again, that screenshot tells us nothing. We need you to select the torrent go to trackers tab, and tell us which error it is displaying.
Since I see those torrents active in your profile, it probably means you are somehow blocked, either by a 3rd party software (firewall) or perhaps even by your ISP

On the peers list of the torrent, idle time says ~25mins for Origa, so I am guessing the reason is not a tracker error.
