Author Topic: Concerning F/S Night (Read 2081 times)

I was just wondering if BxT will be taking on Thora's 720p Fate/Stay Night, My first and favorite anime. Wasn't really sure if this was the right place to ask, but it seemed pretty reasonable to me. Also of note, while I myself would like to upload it, and I have indeed studied the templates quite thoroughly, my max upload speed seems to be 52 kb/s a second, and usually only for 5 second bursts before it averages out to the usual 37 ~ 39 Kb/s. So I'll leave it to one of the good samaritans here on Box.

Well I will say you need to read the Wiki, to check and see if it is blacklisted. If it is then it absolutely will not. If it is not in the list then it is possible, though it would depend on if it is still licensed or not. I decided to go ahead and check and I didn't see it blacklisted but it is up for sale on DVD on FUNimations website so it is possible it is still licensed.

Totally forgot to look that up. It's not on BxT as it is, so it probably is licensed. My bad.

It's actually licensed by Geneon. FUNimation only has distribution rights to it.

According to my understanding, if an Anime currently has a license in effect then it isn't normally allowed on BxT.

According to my understanding, if an Anime currently has a license in effect then it isn't normally allowed on BxT.

I thought that only applied to ADV, FUNi, and Central Park Media or whatever it was...

EDIT: Yeah, as far as I can tell on the Do Not Upload List, those are the 3 licenses not allowed. Perhaps I am missing something ?

Also, I retract my previous statement of there not being a F/S N, on BxT currently. I found Eclipse's version, without the "/."

We don't allow anything licensed by the companies on our blacklist. Like I said the license is held by Geneon, and we do have multiple versions of F/S Night on here already.

I see no reason currently why we wouldn't allow it when THORA finishes.

Exception is when another company demands it like (correct me) aniplex with FMA

Mhm. They're on 6 now. It'll be a while what with all their other projects going on at the same time. But just like everything else, it'll be done eventually.

Aniplex with Gurren Lagann, mainly. FMA is FUNi-licensed, so it wouldn't go here anyway.

Well, I thought Eclipse's looked okay for an early-2006 DTV release. But then again, I have lower standards. May I suggest the Exiled-Destiny version in the meantime?

Aniplex did request the removal of the FMA OVAs, which later wound up being licensed by Funi anyway. Also Kara no Kyoukai.

I have read the Wiki, but my understanding of the blacklistings was flawed to say the least. I've apologized for any confusion and will try to be more knowledgeable next time.
