Aria - for the innocent charms of the characters whose names all start with A :o

I thought I was the only one who noticed that :)  It took me forever to memorize who was who because they all started with that damned letter!
It took me almost til the end of season 1 to get Aika, Akira and Akari's names right xD The rest were somewhat easier.

I'd pick Read Or Die. Once the story's in place the re-watch value kinda drops somewhat (for the TV series).

Death Note
Code Geass
School Days (seems to be really popular  ;D)

So that everything has the "wtf? feeling" all over again

The only episodes worth forgetting and watching again were the first 7.. They were brilliant.. then the show went downhill and became predictable.

Death note for sure.  That series had me pumped up for a while.  Also, Gurren Lagann was a heck of a show.

Hmm I would have to choose...

Death Note (ep 1-26 L ftw)
Maburaho (here's where I made the decision to become an Otaku and fell in love with the Ecchi genre)
School Days (even though I saw it for the first time a couple weeks ago, I'm still in shock and getting all my friends to watch it!)

  • I have only these words

1. Fate/Stay Night
2. Kanon 2006
3. Clannad
4. Code Geass
5. Ghost In the Shell SAC

1,2 & 3 no brainers for me, but 4 & 5 I just had to put up there, because Code Geass kept you thinking, and Ghost In the Shell because everything about it was beautiful and the Major was a Badass.
I have typed these words and you have been forced to read them.  Now you can go cry in the corner if you like :)

Black lagoon i could probably watch without forgetting...

I'd really like to forget Hikaru no Go though and rewatch that. Loved that one a lot.
Forgetting a LOT of other animes then rewatching Suzuka would be great too.
This is your home now. So take advantage of everything here, except me.

If I had to choose only one it would be:
Evangelion

If I got a couple more choices I would go for:
Berserk
Cowboy Bebop

If there were no limit then there'd be a very long list because there's so many good anime I would love to watch them for the first time again.

I'd have to go with Evangelion, but I would also add Serial Experiments Lain, it's one of those series like Evangelion that i've watched and analysed and over-analysed and would like to see again with fresh eyes,

and Death Note I would want to watch again because this is one of the few anime series where it was genuinely suspenseful.

If I could forget and NOT rewatch a series it would be EVA. People are always trying to analyze it and shit but never stop to consider that maybe there are just tons of plot holes and discontinuities because the creator was depressed out of his mind and couldn't keep it together.

I'd really like to forget about Welcome to the NHK and be excited and everything because it's got all those recommendations... but I found it so boring I wanted to cry... I made it through 18 eps because I was hoping the plot would start after all... but it still didn't... I'd like to forget - and get my wasted ratio back!

Shows I rewatched for at least two times without regretting or having to forget: Midori no Hibi, Claymore, Elfen Lied, Black Lagoon, Gunslinger Girl, Fullmetal Alchemist (first season), Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Shojo Kakumei Utena

Those good shows all have in common that you don't need to forget about having seen them and still discover something you didn't notice when you first watched

Ah. Kinô no Tabi indeed. I loved Kinô but I haven't rewatched it yet. Do you think it's less enjoyale the second time around? It doesn't seem like it would be. Same for Mushi-shi, though I do think it'd be more interesting rewatching without knowing what is going to happen in some of the stories.

Since you like Mushi-shi and Kinô no Tabi I'm gonna check out whatever those other two you just mentioned were. Thanks for the indirect recommendation :P
