I think the other Linebarrel was just from a parallel universe. I mean they mentioned throughout the series that the real enemy is from a parallel universe and so I would assume that "our" Emi and Kouichi aren't the only ones who have to fight against humans from another dimension^^ If you rewatch the scene the other pair was as confused as our pair, weren't they?

I'd love to see a sequel for that, or a prequel or whatever. It would support Linebarrel very much and they need a freaking OVA for god sakes. That idiot still did not kiss Emi.

hardly, mech based anime focus too much on mechs and not on the wholesome story of characters, that made me hate mechs anime.
