Gundam series

Hi,

I wanna start watching Gundam Series but i dont know where to start, the series are just alot and too confusing for me. I want to start watching Gundam from the beginning but not the old gundam, just enough to understand the storylines. Do the gundam series have different stories? I know majority like Gundam wing or Gundam seed, issit okay if i start watching Gundam seed right away or will i be missing alot of things.

Thanks, i dont really understand about the calendar system but since its different i guess ill start with gundam wing.

Bah its usually thesame kinda plot, probably same applies to all anime, but its the usual some one is the 'uber pilot' must save the world.

lol I never got into Gundam as I watched it on the TV dubbed, it was just too annoying for me, I still recall those moments.

(click to show/hide)1. probably the start of Gundam wing, heero meets....whats her name, conversation = H:"You never saw me, or i'll kill you" Girl:"..." *way after heero has already left the scene* girl:"Hello my name is [blah]" I just found her too be so odd, to reply to heero after he already ran away, weirdo...

2. also heero the indestructible pilot! He jumps into any mobile suit and he can destroy others easily in 1 shot of whatever he shoots (sure he might be in his uber elite nuclear powered gundam) but then I remember the scene where he jumps into a regular standard army edition mobile suit and he is being blasted by hundreds of bullets and missiles and only taking minimal damage whereas if that was someone else, 1 bullet would have caused an explosion, but since heero was inside it was like some kinda rpg, he jumps in health boost x1000%!)

Anyway, I'd say just start with Gundam seed, alittle more recent than the other ones and probably slightly better animated, the story is all the same just with different sets of child pilots instead.

I didn't really get into gundam seed that much but i'd suggest starting with Wing or the 8th MS team
then go to Gundam 00, the best gundam series so far.
Then when you want to take a break from all that war check out Mobile Fighter G Gundam which is about Gundam's...Street fighter style!
If your really hard core you could check out Gundam 0083 which i think was the first gundam?
