Witch Hunter Robin
AntiPaladin:
I thought it was okay as well. My main gripe is the hectic pacing changes it went through. Starts off slow, concentrating on building up the characters and the world, then goes on auto-pilot for the middle with the "battle of the week," and then rushing through the final episodes to an ending that happened much too fast, like they just wanted to get it over and done with.
And I've never been a fan of the "Let's insinuate that the guy in his 30's hooks up with the 15 year old girl" subplot, in this or any other series.

Yeah. I found it kind of weird that Robin was 15. I didn't see any point in her being 15. She acted as though she was older in my opinion.

So you're saying you didn't want Amon and Robin to hook up? :-X

That's the whole point of this premise, to create dramatic tension.
"Let's put this cute teenage girl, who is fairly mature for her age. You want her, you can't have her, because she's underage.
Let's see if you can hold on the entire season with that in your mind."
I don't want to go into a tangent here, but this is the reason the whole loli genre exists: "let's say she's 21 and make her look like 16."

I guess you just described what happens to many series out there. I'll call this "pulling off an Evangelion".
Sorry for that.
But there needs to be sensible explanations as to why some producers decide to rush out the ending of their series, be it economic problems or people going crazy or something like that.
