Well, crust it. I was planning on getting that soon, also. Bit of an annoyance, certainly, but I can always get it from somewhere else. Then I won't have to worry about seeding it more than is fair too! (I aim for 7 on box, but for a public torrent I don't feel inclined to go much past 1.)

I don't really see how it is fair for them to say that they own anything other than the dub that they are going to make, but I guess in order to make the dub they buy the previous version of the show, right? Not particularly convenient for me, but that's life. It's not like I'm losing any money or anything out of this...

EDIT: I just realized that I had actually had this in my wishlist too. Wow, bummer. And it seems like more and more stuff I'm looking into isn't available on box. Downloading from other, slow sources usually yields crappy quality and a week or so of download time, so I guess I'll build up a nice buffer of stuff to watch while I download non-box stuff.

OMG

Funimation does license really fast, they're also aiming for Pandora Hearts T^T

Anyway, I'm glad I finished the torrent.  ;D

Sorry about reviving an old thread, but what were the subs that were used for the torrent? I've downloaded some off Tokyo Toshokan but none seem to match up.  The BoxTorrents release was damn fine and I'd like to keep watching the same thing.

I found a good one called:
spice and wolf [1280x720 h264 flac][niizk]

So that should be enough information to find it again, I guess. I grabbed it immediately after the licensing, so there were literally thousands of peers on it when I got it, so the download went really, really fast. I don't know anything about where it came from, other than that I watched it and thought it was pretty good. My only gripe with the translation is that they translated/localized the suffixes, but that wasn't a big deal because they use them very rarely anyway, and it probably would have been weird to see medieval Europeans saying "Lawrence-san" instead of "Mr. Lawrence."
So google for that! It was one one of the big torrent sites, I think, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding it.

It had Ayako, BSS, and Sudo.  I didn't really evaluate for quality, though; once I saw that they were different I stopped watching.

For North American companies like Funimation, licenses mean exclusive rights to distribute English-language versions of a given series in a certain geographic area. This includes both English-language dubs and subtitles to go along with the Japanese track.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

l only see one good reason for licencing anime, worldwide distribution

other wise, FUCK OFF OFF MY HORO!

damn biggots! >.<

it takes a considerably ammount of years to have something good in my country (anime/manga wise)
licencing should mean distribiution, but some companies sit and do nothing with some shows, and l should mention tha tworld doesn't end with ASIA and USA alone, and they sometimes send some scraps to Autralia too, there is also Europe and Africa, and what about ppl on Arctic/ Antarctic areas ? they want some anime too !

fuckin biggots !

GET YOUR HANDS OFF MY HORO BASTARDS !

*hugs his hires DVD's and OSTs cryin* bastards *sniff*
