but now when you are older I'm sure you might say: "No that couldnt be ANIME?!?" Its just so funny to think how animes has been changed from 'those old days'

Well yea.. When i was something around 10-12 year old it runned on TV Sailor Moon on SWEDISH DUB! :D and it was really funny to watch it..

But it was pretty normal that all those old 'animes' were dubbed into your own language. :P

Did also watch Sailor Moon on Swedish TV4 back in the days, though was considered a Kids Cartoon back then much like Pokemon some years later. Think anime still ain't relly considered "mature" over here as it is an "cartoon" :(

Yeah i did that too. Do you remember the last episode they aired? It was the one when Chibi-Usa is the adult "Svarta ladyn" form.  ;)
She is hovering in the air at the end of the episode and the next day they start from the very first season again..
I got so damn pissed every time it happened.  >:(

-Nils no Fushigi na Tabi [aka. Wonderful Adventures of Nils]
-Tao Tao
-Ahiru no Quack [aka. Alfred J. Kwak]
-Tanoshii Muumin Ikka [aka. Moomin]

Also theres only that problem that none of these hasnt even subbed.. so its kinda too bad that they cant be offered to BxT.  :'(
Many of these are pretty old animes too.. :S

If I'm not mistaken, this is actually the job of the current Box Fansubs group, to fansub old anime that no one else cares about any more.
So, if you care about them, you can probably get into subbing and uploading those.

As for the topic of this thread, I guess I always knew some of the "old cartoons" were characteristically different from Warner Bros., or Hannah-Barbera cartoons. However, at that time I didn't know the word "anime". I started using it consistently only after Dragon Ball.
Then it became possible to call all of the previous "Japanese cartoons with the big eyes" anime.
