Aria the origination [EnterTheBlog]
« on: June 09, 2009, 07:56:39 AM »
Official title: ARIA The ORIGINATION

Anidb link: http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=5424

Group: Entertheblog
Site: http://oven.adilsoft.org/

I was wondering if there is a particular reason for this not being on boxtorrent ? The second season, Aria the natural, was released by this group under a different name ENG, with crystalnova's subs, and it was put on boxtorrent.
This is the third season by the same group with translation coming from the same group of episodes as currently on boxtorrent, except its a dvd release.

"EnterTheBlog is a "group" that makes halfassed rips of R1 DVDs with no concern for detail, translation accuracy, timing, or any other metric one might normally use to gauge DVD-rip quality with."

That might be your clue as to why :P
Also, I did not approve the upload of Aria the Natural.

lol i saw that. But i assume it was put there after they got tired of being bugged by trolls..

Whole reason for this request is because their release for the second season is on box, so they can't be that bad...right?

They never released the second season.

They did under another name, ENG. Check their site: http://oven.adilsoft.org/

Anyway, nvm about it. Im already getting it through torrent, i just wanted to know if there was a particular reason the 2nd season was uploaded but not the 3rd, as boxtorrent is normally consistent.

Heh, I've been meaning to ask about uploading this release myself...

Anywho, the only gripes I had with this release is that they used HnK's subs for 01-04 (As opposed to CrystalNova's, though I guess you could say it's a plus for translation consistency), and that the intros to the last few episodes aren't translated because BSS didn't translate them. (Didn't stop the ENG release of Natural from being uploaded)

If nothing else, having this release on Box might satisfy people's hardons for softsubs.

Got any old fansubs on HDD/DVD/CD? Please take a look at this thread.

Could someone confirm that Hitode's release are as messed up as the AniDB comments say?  If they aren't, then I'd like to compare those and these.

I know what they say about themselves, but can we get an opinion from someone who has actually watched their release?

When I was collecting Aria, I got their release, until Psyren (I think it was him, could've been Kureshii) mentioned how bad it was, so I skimmed the first couple eps. Video and audio aren't too bad, but the TL/edit is awfully broken English. So then I swapped out for the mixed version we have at the moment.

I remember getting Hitode's release from a DDL source as well, and dropped it for the mixed release. I can't remember the exact reason, but it's probably what quekmeister said.
