and their weapons more or less are historically accurate.
1 exception.
Bluebeard. Cthulhu. Wat.

Bluebeard is Gilles de Rais, one of Jeane D'arc's allies. After her death he delved into the occult, so yes he too is true to history

No no no. I know that. But he wasn't a lunatic who could summon Cthulhu to do his bidding.

Plus he came back as caster and with a weird spellbook. So far he's been fairly accurate, I read up on him and history says he was a serial killer of children; which fits the anime perfectly.

Hey,

I know this is random and out of the topic on hand, but I was wondering if you guys heard of the Fate/apocrypha by type-moon that's coming out soon. I am quite intrigued by the plot and was wondering where it would be in the fate series timeline.

There needs to be an Archer subclass known as gunslinger or something that can use Unlimited Gun Works. Loads of big ass bombs and missiles. Nuclear-tipped for maximum effect.

No, let's just make an eighth Servant.

On a separate note, the 12-min special Fate/Prototype 'premiered' just yesterday (which, coincidentally, technically makes it 2011 in many parts of the world). Go check it out.

It's not on TT so I will wait likely for UTW or someone to pick this up.

Fate/Stay Night original story had an 8th servant. He was throwing lots of weapons of all kinds, small, medium, big and extra big. Archer - Gilgamesh (he's also in Fate/Zero).

IIRC Gilgamesh is also in Ataraxia, though I am not sure, but I think I saw him.

I had hoped the Assassins would have put up more of a fight against the Ionian Hetairoi at least. They were a complete let down.

They should still have fought for the sake of viewer's pleasure who like to enjoy great battle scenes. What soldiers do when there is no hope of escaping is fighting to the death, usually performing beyond the normally expected limitations of their combat capabilities. The Assassins here didn't even try to fight.

What was Assassin's Noble Phantasm anyway? Just splitting into many parts? Should have been granted some limited resurrection abilities or something. That would have made him/her a more serious adversary than a bunch of sorry ass sidekicks.

This isn't the same assassin from Fate Stay/Night (Heavens Feel). Their ability is is not splitting apart but being many.
All of them had daggers, tell me how you fight with a dagger against spears and shields, also the ratio was completely against them, around 30-40 vs several hundreds, This isn't Yukimura Sanada who won 13k vs 50k.

Assassin class skills are ambush and stealth, they couldn't do anything, and they had nowhere to run. They had to lose.

Lol, who said these Assassins should be the same as the Assassin in FSN, or as capable?

Each of these Assassins was a physical manifestation of the one whole Assassin's split personalities and specialized skills. But it's a very minor choice of words issue, really, and not very relevant.

The Assassins should have fought for the sole reason that it would have made the battle scene more action-packed and fun to watch. It doesn't matter if they are nonetheless going to get minced into bits in the end. Just make it fun.

Saber being as a male character

(click to show/hide)

Seriously...? Spoiling her beauty like that.
Parts of it I admired greatly, parts I laughed at till my sides were almost sore;
other parts I read with absolute sorrow,  because I think them utterly false and grievously mischievous...

Show me proof that they are a split assassin.

You should watch episode 11 again. Multiple references are made, including by the Assassins themselves, that Assassin is one entity with many 'shadows', or many split personalities for the Masters and other Servants.

I saw the male Saber, meh not impressive, looked exactly like Shiro in gilgamesh armour, Rin was like Sakura with glasses, the butler was a looney joker, Archer got nerfed badly, and Lancer as basically the jackass.

All in all i'm glad that never became the main series, the only improvement is that Illya was as scary as hell.
