Kirei said it that he received the knife from him and now he hands it to her in her flashback in FSN VN.
But yeah, seeing it here and reading it there is awesome. I like most of the stuff, even the point when in the park on the other side, when Shirou and Saber stop at some ruined ship or something and Saber says it's her fault this looks like that, because she was careless. It was the fight with Caster where she used her Noble Phantasm on the river, a ship was caught up in the blast. Incredibly consequence in storyline.

Anime of Year 2012 - Fate/Zero
Couldn't ask for more from Type-Moon and ufotable ... Excellent anime, excellent anime to the very core ... Also, the blonde hair guy with straight cuts in Kiritsugu's past from the Mage Academy is a cross-character from Kara no Kyoukai.
Now, they need to work on Heaven's FEEL. I'd like that to be a TV series. I mean, the story's length in the VN is a combination of Fate + Unlimited Blade Works stories.
I've also got some news on how Fate/Zero was developed, or at least what the whole crew did to make it this damn good. They busted their asses off to make it happen - from the Seiyus, animators, musicians, audio crew, and pretty much all of them after the story-board was set in place. They worked through the holidays for the 1st season (I don't have a clear time frame for that) as for the 2nd season, they worked on it from late December of 2011 all the way to late March / early April right before the end of the first season as it was airing.

I will confess right now that i DO NOT go to forums and talk about tv or anime, but every now and then theres this one show that makes think HOLY **** THAT WAS AMAZING! THIS IS THAT ANIME. I mean EVERY character is SOOO amazing, so well thought out, SOOO GOOD. Its like closer to reality, everyone has their own story and no one, ok may be not "no one", but still, almost no one is a complete bad guy. similar to basilisk (one of the reasons I loved it so much). and you just want like multiple people to win, but you already know whos gonna win and survive :(...... because of the previous series that is....
any ways ya this series is definitely getting a 9/10 rating by me, and if it gets any better, it will be the 8th series I give a 10/10...

If you mean Fate/Zero, did you play the Visual Novel ? if not you should definitely give it a go, especially after watching Fate/Zero.

lol don't mention prototype yet ... I'm anxious to see what they're going to do with it. They're making a shit load of money from just putting "Fate" on anything world-wide. ufotable and Type-Moon are working on two series at the moment - the new Kara no Kyoukai movie and Girls' Work. I really want them to remake Fate/Stay Night, I understand most people say "yea the anime is fine" but literally it isn't fine at all. The anime series mixes all three routes and ends it with Fate route, besides the fact that the story wasn't presented well like in the VN and the animation is horrible (forgot who worked on it, definitely wasn't ufotable). Anyways, another Fate project should arise soon ... hopefully.
@ death_relic - btw, just as Havoc said, go play the VN. It's already up on Nyaa, search "Fate Otakixus" and it's the first link. It's still been seeded for more than a year and a half. The benefits? Everything you want to know about Fate, characters, story, ... everything is inside of it.
