Fate Series [Fate/Stay Night UBW First Press LE BD Box I]

I'm at a loss of words, really. Objectively thinking the story isn't maybe a masterpiece, but who cares when it's this enjoyable! The endless plot twists, the amount of insight into every character's past and future, the different endings and the amount of manliness by Archer and Shirou were just full of awesomeness. Each route had its own atmosphere, feeling almost like a different story. Yes, there were downsides also, but like in Ever17, the entirety was totally worth playing. In the end, the story left us with almost no loose ends and everything finally made sense. The final episode felt maybe a bit forced, but I'd like to think about it as a nice dream, or maybe afterlife for the two involved.
Tatsujin, if you are still managing this topic you can add me to the achievement list. If you want I can PM you with proof. The game was completed with Realta Nua 4.2 patch and the Fate Uncensored -patch by Bishopcruz ::).
Also, one more piece of positive news for me: I can finally watch Fate/Zero which I was having on hold in the fear of spoilers. I've heard it's a pretty good series so this should be fun! :D

Btw, while you're at it, go play Muv-Luv series. Start with the first game, Muv-Luv EXTRA and UNLIMITED then go Muv-Luv Alternative. This game is the highest ranked VN at the moment and bests Fate series.

The final episode ultimately succeeds in what I think was it's actual purpose instead of simply catering to Saber fans. And that is giving the player/reader a final feeling that the story, at last, is over. I can't really explain it much better but that's what I felt after playing through it. Saber and shirou may finally rest from all their battles, and what even better, they are united in afterlife, being together forever.
It's such a romantic ending although I must say it's not very believeable. After all, why would Shirou end up in Avalon (I think that was the name of the place king Arthur went after her death) when he died? But this is just nitpicking. Do we really need a valid reason for them to be together in the end? I think it's a typical power of love -ending which actually fits quite well, so i'm not really complaining.
Also, the beginning of the final episode was great, showcasing the best moments of Saber and Shirou during the main storyline. Most of the best CGs were also there so bonus points for that.
Oh, and one more thing to add. Kotomine Kirei is one badass guy. Heaven's feel made me actually like him. He might be on the opposing side but that's because he stands for his ideals. After Fate I hated the guy but looks like things can change. :)
As for Muv-Luv, I've been put back by some reviews saying "Muv-Luv Extra is standard harem." and "Muv-Luv Unlimited introduces a new plot (...) it is also just as generic as Extra's". I'm not really interested in harem VNs as I value the plot more. Yes, I've heard Alternative is really good but I dont know if it's worth playing the previous ones if they aren't that good. Especially when my studies have started again and i'm a bit short on time.

Yes. It is worth the trouble. Play Muv Luv Extra which is harem. Beat Sumika and Meiya routes to unlock Unlimited then beat Meiya's route. After that, play Alternative game. It is worth it. If you want to skip Extra and Unlimited then in the Alternative game there is a notepad giving you a brief summary of the main important things so your not lost in alternative ... Which I did and I regret that decision. But I will tell you this, it is one VN you do not want to miss out on. Type Moon and Key games are not even close to this epic game.

Don't open If you haven't played Heaven's Feel route in F/SN VN. It's a big spoiler to the route's ending.
