Achievement:  replaced my kitchen faucet, twice.  Lesson learned:  don't buy a cheap Glacier Bay faucet, just spend the 60 to 100 bucks on something decent instead.
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

Beating the living shit out of Barbarossa in VP:Lenneth :)

Damn I love this game so much :)
Second as well.

But early in the game Barbarossa is a seriously overpowered bastard, best bet would be killing him in a single turn cuz he can seriously damage you. Lucky me I have what it takes :)

Finally, finally, finally managed to finish Persona 4. That last boss (in the true ending - Izanami no Okami) is hard as nails, I've lost count of how many times I've tried to beat her and failed. Even after resorting to using cheats to give my whole party infinite health and SP, it still took several attempts to kill her. All because of this one stupid insta-kill attack she has.

It's an amazing game though. I'd forgotten just how good some of the classic PS2 RPGs really are.

I never got around to finishing the game due to the controller. >.>

other parts I read with absolute sorrow,  because I think them utterly false and grievously mischievous...

If you're into that kind of thing, I suppose...

And what was wrong with the controls? Seemed fine to me, and I was using an Xbox pad to play it. PS2 games always feel much more natural to play with a proper dualshock controller.

It's Izanami. Izanami is female. You know, her and her brother Izanagi stood on the bridge of heaven and stirred the waters of the earth with a spear, then they had sex and gave birth to the islands of Japan, or however it goes. The Shinto creation story. And it's definitely supposed to be her (at least in some kind of semi-metaphorical way), because you win that final battle by summoning the persona Izanagi and using his power to defeat her.

That, and her form was definitely female in the game up until that point. In the final battle, it's her "true form", which only appears after you use the orb of truth to reveal it.

Ah, fair enough. My PS2 controller is about 6-7 years old now, and still working fine, but maybe you're just unlucky.

Weirdness oozing from that story. :P

Maybe I'll check the normal face then. =_=

Surprisingly they managed to finish their work yesterday (no doubt after hours) so that I could do mine today.
I'm already done and delivered their hard ~10 hours work from yesterday within 2 and half hours, fixing some of their mistakes along the way.

Congrats group, the report is delivered. With my opinion.
This time I shall not deliver the thunder of reprimands the same day, I shall wait for the response from the higher ups about the report :)

New achievement: My PC lives, breathes hard as expected when something not alive starts to adjust to atmosphere and air, here wondering if it tries to breathe oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen or CO2 ...

technically I think the CPU won't live much longer.

Why is this an achievement ?
Athlon XP2 5000+ Dual Core bought in 2004, Overclocked in 2005 and cleaned regularly from dust with compressed air.
Runs all games and progs that pretty much could use a better or newer CPU, like Games at high settings and often encoding of videos. 10 years is quite a long time I'd say for a CPU :)

Patched up my leaky porch roof today, wasn't that difficult at all.  I shouldv'e done this years ago.  Supposed to rain tomorrow, so I'll find out how well my repairs hold up.
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.
