First (official) day at new job
Fired three people.
Please explain
I gave them a month to pass a competency test, now required for their position. 11 passes, 3 failures.
It doesn't fit your "nice guy" character.
I'm dealing with rehabilitation from mental trauma here,
the patients are my priority. The staff has been inadequate, there have been frequent and unfortunate complaints directed at them --
my staff -- and unsatisfactory sanitary conditions have been reported by management They won't hire the number of RNs I want to resolve the problem, so I had to increase standards among the existing staff. I gave them a chance to keep their jobs, provided recommendations for numerous free workshop opportunities for them to get prepped, answered their question as soon as they had arisen, and yet roughly 30% still failed.
I don't know why they were hired in the first place. I'm glad they're gone since it means I can hire and train at least one more skilled support worker before the new expanded facility is fully operational. If their records aren't close to spotless as humanly possible in the next three months, I fully intend to play administrative whack-a-mole.
