Koukaku no Regios (which subber)
raven2000:
It would be VERY disappointing if ayako is uploaded in any format. Their work on Koukaku no regios is simply just nowhere near as good as taka. They have grammar mistakes all over the place, and translation errors ( no proof available atm as i deleted all their releases). Furthermore, their SD release is horrible, and their HD release is delayed until they stop sulking. Even their anidb rating is 6.94 compared to taka's 8.30.
The only reason for them being uploaded here would be if any of the mods are fans of theirs (like gg over frostii for higashi no eden)
Zalis116:
Once again though, having Ayako's XviD will not prevent either of Taka's versions from being uploaded, so I don't see why people are feeling so threatened by it. I took a look at the first episode from Ayako, and didn't see any major translation errors. I saw 2 typical Ayako grammar errors, but the main thing that bothered me was the timing -- a lot of lines cut off when they could've been linked to another line that started a few frames later, or extended to match a scene change. As far as subtitle style/readability go, Ayako's are much more readable than Taka's, which is relevant as they're both hardsubbed.
Southrop:
Ayako is one of the better fansub groups in existence, actually. Their work is more accurate than many other groups (especially for Valkyria Chronicles, in which they are better than AnY-Conclave).
I personally prefer Batsu-Geimu. Has anyone else considered this? A quick scan through the thread seemed to show otherwise. At the current rate, their progress on the show is indeed slow, and they have already released episode one on DVD.
Our current choices:
Taka, Ayako or Batsu.
I myself am leaning towards Ayako HD and Batsu SD, and then Batsu DVD when they're done. I don't find Taka's work on this show that good.
Technix:
go for the one with best translation quality imho
I find the video quality b/w taka and ayako indiscernible
IX:
I guess I'd now be leaning towards Ayako for HD, and that might be based solely on the fact that I do not care for Taka's font.
Taka being hard-subbed isn't all that appealing either.
