They release in MP4, right? That makes me lean to Ayako/Batsu even more.

Yea, I jumped the gun on Taka's release, my mistake.
Will be keeping an eye on Ayako's now, having a chance to refine the scripts from their low quality release will mean only good things for the HD.

Southrop:
So this is my current train of thought:
HD: Ayako
SD: Batsu

IX:
Batsu's SD is also in MP4, so they're both hardsubs.  Both use serif fonts, not so great but they're what we have to chose from.
From the http://www.ji-hi.net/regios/index.html comparisons I'm very partial to Taka's translations...
#5, rarely necessary to put in a "haha" unless the watcher is actually deaf.
#9, "group of rejects" seems better than "ragtag platoon".

And the actual video quality between the two is staggering, in Taka's favor.  Granted these are their 720p releases, but it would seem to make sense that the same standard applied to their SD releases as well.

I do prefer Batsu not over-using drop shadow in their font, but I think the stuff that matters more(translation and video quality) is on Taka's side.

Southrop:
Batsu's phrasing is better, imo.
