Koukaku no Regios (which subber)

<< < (7/8) > >>

boneknocker:
Honestly I think Ayako will never complete HD version of this show (they just not say they dropped it) and when compare between Taka and Ayako. I think it pointless to wait Ayako.

It may be too late for Bakabt today (yes it just be reject) but if many months pass with no new episodes release from Ayako. I will request this Taka Regios again.

Essedus:
I just archived the "whatever" "whichever" "whenever" + Ayaho HD 01-04, and Subripper.  These are exactly the same thing, except different font. Get these if you want HD. No point in waiting, IMO.

DaggerLite:
I haven't seen this show yet, but I'm going with Taka based on screenshot comparisons (more than what was linked earlier) I've seen. Basically, Ayako's release is of lower quality than Taka's (slightly blurrier). I also prefer Taka's when it comes to the actual translations. As someone said, they seem to have a better flow going for them. Maybe because they have had a bunch of people working on this, but there's nothing negative to say about that!

While Taka's font might be 'hard-to-read' for some, I really don't think that's justified. The styling is great, not bothering to mess with any silly colours. While the font could've been simpler like Ayako's for better readability, I would not deem it as hard-to-read in its current state. I should mention that I also prefer the smaller type of subs, watching anime for the most part on my monitor and not on a TV-screen placed far away. I know that subs are harder to read on TV-screens placed several meters away, and this is the only part I'll justify Ayako being called better on this release (from what I've seen). Many people do prefer the smaller font, because it gets less in the way of the actual image while still being easily readable.

Taka has done a good job on everything I've seen released so far and deserves some promotion here for actually being better than Ayako on this. I am not too fond of Ayako principally because their earlier work has varied quality, and I think they're an overrated group overall.

Is this serious? Their translation seems out of both Ayako's and Taka's league in my opinion. It seems too liberal, simplifying sentences so much that they're given lame (strength vs. claws/power/what I have left) and diffuse (here vs. Military Arts department), or even different meanings (a hit vs. first strike). At least on ji-hi's comparison.

konami2:
IMO, from the ji-hi comparison shots I would go with taka, as said before, the picture seems clearer, the translation shows no grammatical errors, and from myself watching Taka's first few KnR HD releases, the subs flow smoothly. I had no problems with a the font, even on my TV 4-5 feet away.
However, as with all information on the internet, you should take my opinion with a grain, or two, of salt, as I'm biased towards Taka, not as a member of the group, but as a fan of their NS and DBK releases, and a frequent lurker in their IRC.

AceD:
The only thing i dont like about Taka is that its hardsubbed...everyt hing else seems good to me

ive nearly downloaded there batch so thats what am gonna watch, maybe for longtime storing ill check out Ayako...purely just because its softsubbed

out of curiosity, is Regios coming out on BluRay?
