Mac OS X v.s. Windows For Watching anime?

There isn't really a splitter for OS X (or Linux, for that matter), but I've never understood the need for one. As for chapters, any QT-based player supports them if you have perian installed.

ordered chapters and 'just' chapters are something different. quite a few HD releases use ordered chapters to load external ops/eds into the episode as if they would be included in it.

Oh, so you mean external file references. I think QT+Perian does that, too, but I don't know. My machine is old and while it can handle some 720p releases (Lunar's Sola release, for example) it absolutely choked on 1080p and thus I don't have any HD releases to test that on.
