There's no excuse either, since the OS is a ripoff of Linux which is FREE.
This is one of the most untruthful things I've ever heard an anti-Mac type say. Mac OS X is a hybrid of NetBSD UNIX, NeXTSTEP (which was produced by Steve Job's other company in the 90's), and leftover code from Apple's Rhapsody project. OS X is 100% certified as a true UNIX.
Linux was created by Linus Torvalds in the early 90's because he couldn't afford buying a real UNIX OS to work and play around on. He created a UNIX clone. So in truth, Linux is the one that's a rip.
Now that's not to say Linux distributions don't make good operating systems, because they do. Linux has a wide range of things it's good at.
Just don't spread slander and lies because you don't like the company or the OS. If you're going to join any sort of OS-related debate, you should at least educate yourself beforehand.
Oh, and another thing... the X windowing system that Linux is so hopelessly tied to is an archaic, rusty mess compared to Quartz.
iPods are the cancer that is killing music.
Now THAT is funny. Music has been dead for ages now, and it died a long time before iPods ever came around.
