Camera Equipment. Spent about 400 € on it. I will buy a bag in the next few days and after that, I'll get a tripod.

I agree... for that price, you might as well be "smart" and buy an "ultraportable" known as the Vaio P.

"Smart". :)

Well, that's Australian dollars. It's about $625 is US dollars at the current rate of exchange.

I looked into the Vaio P...the one I bought has better specs, well, except for the SSD. Besides, a 3-cell battery and a 8" screen? I'd rather have a 6-cell battery and a 10.2" screen.

It's an ASUS, by the way (not those crappy EEE's though).

...In Canada. I don't live in Canada.

$800 is cheap for a high-end Netbook in Australia. This was with heavy internet research too.

Hmm.. but this is ordering overseas too. Did you look into ordering direct from Hong Kong or China? I have indeed heard that stuff in Australia is more expensive, but it seriously sounds like you were ripped off to an extent.

On another note... Going to spend another couple hundred on booze. Birthday present, going to buy some high end stuff for shots.

...I didn't order from overseas, I ordered directly from in the country.

Everything here is seriously over priced, and I can't help that. Games that cost you $80, cost me $120.

If I had bought it in-store at $1000, then I would have been ripped off.

This Month...

$235.24 ~ Canon PowerShot SD780
$30.38 ~ Canon NB-4L Spare Li-Ion Battery
$4.49 ~ SwissGear Camera Bag
$16.00 ~ Ultra II 4 Gig SD Card

Yeah Yeah yeah don't rag me about the Ultra Card, I'm going to pick up the new EOS 60 (or 7 whatever they want to call it) when it comes out to replace my current Rebel and it will more than likely have an SD card instead of Compact Flash.

e.g. - this is a spare camera to take with me when i don't want to lug the SLR

$350 on a new set of irons, an awesome walking bag, new golf shoes, a driving range membership, and two rouds a week.  All so I can walk 10 - 15 miles a week in 100 degree Houston weather swearing at a little ball.

$475 on a new snowboard, boots, and bindings. (even though I haven't been on a hill since the 8th grade...)
$60 on a new bong
$45 on a new hat
$80 on a new hoodie

And plenty of cigarettes, I try not to keep a total on that one; it's only depressing...
