Tell us who you think are the hottest/coolest male characters in anime, be it in body or mind.

They're from Natsume's Book of Friends. Left to right then down, Tanuma Kaname, Natsume Takashi, and Madara.

I'm a guy myself, and since I'm straight I don't really find any male characters hot... But there are some that I find cool.
For example, a lot of characters voiced by Tomokazu Sugita: Kyon, Yuuichi Aizawa from Kanon, Takumi Mayama from Honey & Clover.

Nobody said Ryuji (Toradora)? I thought he was a pretty cool character compared to the normal boring romance anime male lead. Kitamura was sort of cool too.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned L or Light (up until ep 26), both which are towards the top of my list for coolest male chars.

Hottest = Makoto from School Days, if getting all the action isn't being the hottest, I dunno what is.

Then what about the mercenary guy in Elfen Lied? Some people say he was the most interesting character in the show...

That guy was fucking hilarious how he was always like "raaaah I'm gonna get you bitch" and then gets his ass handed to him every time.

And now, after finishing Eden, I'd have to nominate Takizawa Akira. His whole demeanor is awesome.
